I got a grip, guy is offering me $300 for it and what it is attached to. I said no.
I made a living once by finding out things that others could not find. I developed that and became one of the best in the state, according to all available data, among which was my earning power.
It's not just that. Me and Rich worked together and one day we decided we wanted to have a real lunch so we went to the Ground Round. The boss was telling us ot to go, and he was saying that we probably wouldn't come back.
So, about into five beers and an excellent steak we were talking and Rich says "I don't like how he was saying we won't come back". IF you know me at all you know where that went. We didn't go back, in fact more. We called the shop and said we were out of money and someone had to come up with some or they were going to make us do dishes. He said he couldn't leave because he was the only one in the shop right now. Note that we always got paid through lunch if we ate it at the shop. Now there's a job. I know there's better but not much for a lazy fuck like me. (oh, and it was 25 years ago and $23 an hour, that was a GOOD job)
