First of all, in the red states, which is what the liberals really mean, they cite the money in and out of the federal government. Well first if all did you ever hear of anyone going up north to retire ? I have claimed, and I believe I am right, that when liberals say the red states get more from the feds than the blue states they forgot to mention that these states are where people go to retire. I cannot prove it, but nobody can disprove it, I assert that their social security they collect is included in the total numbers. I KNOW about statistics ad how they can lie. Those people worked for every fucking dime of that money. And even if that is not true, the retirees have displaced taxpayers in a few areas of Florida for example. That in and of itself could allow the spinsters to be able to claim that. They buy the land and the houses with money they EARNED and collect their SS and retire, and liberals call that welfare, when most of them have never done an honest day's work n their life. Liberal's leader, the only paying job he had was "community organizer", as a lawyer I doubt he defended one drunk driver. I guess I could be wrong but if he was a lawyer of note I think we would have heard about it, and heard about it, and heard about it. Why didn't we ? The answer is obvious. Remember those kids getting caught cheating on their tests at Harvard a few years ago ? What happened to them ? Does anyone know ? Does anyone even remember the scandal about it ? Does anyone even remember the incident ? And does anyone know what happened to them ? Were they kicked out ? Were they flunked and had to pay tuition for another year at least ? Or did absolutely nothing happen to them because they are in a privileged class ? What do you think ? And remember, this is one of the two or three major schools all of our politicians come out of. Allowed to cheat ? Five different numbers for the unemployment rate, enough public ire that someone invited to a press conference says "I can't eat an ipad". (that gets you thrown out) These people are out of hand. We have no redress of our grievances, in Venezfuckingwela you used to be able to go out in the street, like every third Tuesday or some sit and talk to the President of the country. Chavez would come out in public. Last guy who did that in the US was JFK and you know what happened to him. T^T

Well not only is this full of presumptions and prejudice but red states lead the nation in food stamps use. HERE Plus, The whole of TANF is $17 billion a year while the pentagon will spend that in about 10 days. (TANF replaced what has been traditionally called welfare and in 1996...20 years ago) Plus soc. sec. is not included in 'federal assist' TANF to states which is in block grants now. Soc. sec is a purely 100% federal run program separated from 'assistance.' Oh and as for retirement, Florida typically still leads the nation and that state is not even in the top 20 for 'federal assistance.'

I know that our AF base is known as a retirement base because so many people try to get this as their final assignment allowing them to retire here. And FL is famous for northerners going there to retire.

I know my point wasn't all that clear, but not really bad. But really, if you really think about it, who goes north to retire ? As such, when people are on SS they no longer pay taxes. As such, a liberal lie has been exposed. When you retire you do not pay income taxes. That is how they made the numbers lie. No dispute, SS payouts do not matter. the fact that retirees generally do not pay income taxes skews the figures. Anyone who disputes that does not have a brain. T^T

The retirement thing (if that is included in with welfare payments for the statistics) is definitely a good point, but I'm a bit dubious that everybody goes south to retire. Aren't parts of the midwest and north California (not that far north, but definitely north of Florida) stuffed with retirement villages? What about Colarado and New Jersey?

What kind of hellhole do you have to live in to think that NJ is a great place to retire. Southern states are warmer with a lower cost of living. CA has a higher cost of living and ungodly taxes on everything.

Some states have no income tax at all, so retirement income is not taxed. But the feds tax all income over a certain threshold subject to certain age benefits.
