First a Singer got assassinated.
Then terrorist attack.

Then a Gator ate a boy in freaking Disney Land???

WTF!!!!

Florida is having a uber crazy month!

Well in this case, people ignored "no swimming" signs in a place where 1000s of gaters inhabit the water.

But why would they put Disney land in a place where there is alligators!! That's so crazy!! Especially when it's the land for kids, loads of kids!!!

IN a place where there are alligators? You mean Florida?

The only continent without dangerous animals is Antarctica.

Disneyland Shitload of Snow doesn't quite have the same ring to it does it?

You forgot about the walrus.

Leave Mythbusters out of this.

Any crocs in your area?

Hhmmmmm....
So killer whales and elephant seals aren't dangerous?? [8|]
And I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of an Emperor penguin either!
There are around 11.8 million Chinstrap penguins lurking around there too!
There are enough other birds and seals that could cause havoc for kids.

Just sayin' [:)]

Not really land lubbers, those killer whales. And to be fair seals aren't the most nimble out of water either. And to be honest if a penguin savaged you you probably deserved it somehow.

This.
Anywhere you go into a body of water with wildlife in it, you're entering the food chain, and almost certainly not at the top.

Musicmystery -> RE: What's going on in Florida! (6/15/2016 6:29:25 AM)

Though some believe a wading toddler could take a walrus.

WhoreMods -> RE: What's going on in Florida! (6/15/2016 6:32:07 AM)

I don't think I saw that episode of Mythbusters. There's seriously an urban myth that a toddler did over a walrus, or is this just a reference to the bear off that's 'tache?

mnottertail -> RE: What's going on in Florida! (6/15/2016 6:34:21 AM)

Killer whales have gotten a bad rap, that being said, alligators as a machine of death havent gotten enough press, we got toddlers jumping into gorilla cages and toddlers wading in alligator ponds, shooting their moms in walmart....our capacity to believe in the homogenous responsibility inherent in all adults has got to be waning at some point in our future, doesn't it?

Yea, but built it away from the waters where the alligators roam. I mean, it just sounds absolutely crazy a kiddy land is built near alligator infested waters, with just a sign, "Do not Swim in it". It should have full alligator warnings!

And like seriously, as a tourist, I wouldn't know there would be alligators in the water near Disneyland at all! Like, it's unimaginable! That a kid's playground is deliberately built near such a dangerous place!

Considering how many parents here let their kids swim in "Do not Swim signage places".

I think loads of Asian kids would have gotten eaten there! But of course, ours are all man made lagoons and stuffs. So no wild life in it.

I'm pretty sure Disneyland in California is safe from wild animals. Very urban area.

You've clearly never been to Florida. Look at a map. Closely.

mnottertail -> RE: What's going on in Florida! (6/15/2016 6:45:09 AM)

Uh, alligators are ubiquitous in Florida waters, and pretty much nobody can tell an alligator where it can hang out, they are just not that socially gracious, it might surprise tourists from Nebraska if they are not aware that Florida has alligators, hell, they could have been serving fishsticks in the cafeteria during that 4th grade biology class and the people missed it.....but the no swimming signs posted prominently around the perimeter should indicate that there be monsters....anywhere from Humphrey Bogart leeches, poisoned water, raw sewage, to Cthulhu. Hell, why not sharks? It is Disneyland. I don't expect a toddler from Nebraska to be facile with the English language, I do expect his parents to be so.
