Funny how all the people who were attacked were remain people. An old man with 78 also punched in the face for handing out remain leaflets, fun.

As for lies, yes from both sides, however you could check up on what experts said, wasn't difficult.

Again 5% of the UK population from EU countries, most of them in full employment and contributing, so they pay your benefits, you take that amount of money out...
Now let's not think about the Brits who migrated to other EU countries, you get a lot of pensioners back and people who were working abroad, think they have jobs here?

But hey, you know, a new hospital every week, how's that working out for you? They already backtracked on it.

What are you going to do with those fictional £350 million a week? Buy a new computer? If you think the Tories will invest it in the NHS or anything that will help people, I have to admire your faith but laugh about how naive you are.

Not every leaver was a racist, but all racists voted leave and they now think 52% of the country is behind them. As a result, I don't leave the house anymore, because I don't want another punch in the face, shit that is happening all over the country.

Boris wants to trade with the EU, basically everybody does, as there is no way to ignore the single biggest market, so it will cost, and nothing back, no seat on the table, nada.

Job losses all around, massive uncertainty and we haven't even got the backlash yet.

As for the NHS, any bets when they will sign TTIP, and yeah, start training Drs and nurses because the foreign ones are leaving at a rather alarming rate. Nevermind, only takes 7 years to train a GP, so stay healthy for the next 7 years...

They have passport control but we still have 'open borders' from a travel PoV.
Just because we have that passport control doesn't mean we can prevent people from the EU entering the UK - we can't.
And that's the definition of an open border; not being able to control it.

Maybe it was because you live in a racist area and 'pushed' your views onto people that held the opposite PoV?

And I wouldn't say it was all the remainers that were attacked; I believe there were some leavers elsewhere that were also violently attacked in some London boroughs.

It was true.
Those figures are bourne out by many sets of figures from many reputable organisations.
What the remainers did was to quote a gross figure as nett and shout that it was false and a lie.
Then the remainers spouted that there would be WWIII and armageddon if we voted to leave - yet another lie and nothing to back up those false claims.
Yes, you could look up the figures but most people didn't bother.

The money isn't fictional.
But leavers never said that they would invest all of it in the NHS, just a large lump of it depending on what the prevailing government did with the money.

Some job losses. Not as many as you seem to think.
HSBC are shifting EU transaction staff to Paris; so no jobs actually lost, just moved to a different location.

Really?? You honestly believe that crap??
We don't want TTIP and most of the EU don't like the terms the US are trying to dictate.
Again, some doctors are leaving, not because we are leaving the EU but because wages are better elsewhere.
If we have a really big shortfall of doctors and nurses, there are many waiting in the wings from the likes of Pakistan, India, Malaysia and China that are finding it very difficult to get into the UK because of various EU strings.

I'm not concerned about the day to day reactions. I'm concerned about the long term economic fundamentals. They aren't going to care about sides and opinions.

And as we give up relative advantage in favor of nationalism and isolationalism, driving up prices and retarding economic growth and business production, we also marginalize ourselves all over the West as we try to pretend the economy today isn't global. The "winner" will be China, which, while still poor, will be the largest trading block, and so will set the agenda on world economy and all the values that economic incentive control. The age of global democracy is over. It's the time of the oligarchs, the party bosses, and the war lords, depending on where you live in the world. All that's been gained is the freedom to flip them off and the freedom to go home and complain about it.

The only real strength we had was working together. That's going quickly, as we build walls instead.

Even democracy is an experiment only a few centuries old. It could well become a historical footnote.

The world is walking willingly back to peasants and rulers -- all in the name of freedom and throwing off oppression.

Ultimately, it won't be the rulers who regret it.

But the US and China are the very worst for protectionism in recent decades.
Howz that worked out for you??
On the whole, pretty damned well I would suggest.

There's a huge difference between being locked into an exclusive club that dictates most of your choices and just visiting it for your own convenience and not being strapped by some of the constraints and idiocy.
That's effectively what we have done; officially left the club and come in as a visitor.
To me, world trade is heaps better than trade restricted to only what the EU dictates we can have.
I don't see that as a bad thing for the long term.

Hey, maybe I drop you a mail in a year or so, then you can tell me how Brexit worked for you and benefits, because you do know what's going first when there is a recession, and yes there is one and we haven't even seen the beginning of it.

You know what, it's not my fucking problem anymore, I'm not even staying around to see the house changed to flats, but I tell you one thing, I want all the workers to be foreigners. I'm gamely thinking if I should buy houses when the prices are really low, but then again, I don't think I want to have much to do with this place anymore.

I supported the economy and tried to buy British, it was difficult, now - hell no!

Btw dunno what you do for heating but you can count on the costs going up.

Yes, we got downrated from AAA to AA - just like we did in the world recession and just like the USA.
We, and the USA recovered very well thank you.
In fact, we did better than ANY other EU nation by a country mile.

So it will cost us a few bob to borrow money - again, that was half expected.
Big deal. We'll get over it and come out on top like we did before.

I think cockroach has said that no bank is too big to fail.
I don't see bank bailouts to happen again like they did last time.

I honestly think it will work out fine in the long run.
At least until now, we trounced all of the EU countries with our recovery from the last crash.
The EU economy is flatlined and has been for ages - one of the slowest growths anywhere in the world.
We can do better than that.

The leavers always claimed that having control means that the party in power has the ability to control the numbers - they never claimed to stop all immigration from anywhere or put a figure on the numbers, EU or otherwise.
The remainers cried out for an explicit number but the leavers refuse to give one - that's why they bleated that there was no plan for immigration.
There is a plan, but the actual numbers are going to be defined by the ruling party, not the campaigners.
They made that very clear in all their arguments about immigration numbers.
