ORIGINAL: tweakabelle Because as things stand I don't see anyone in the queue of those lining up to invoke it, and the more I think about it, the stronger the possibility that it might never get invoked becomes.... Tweak, watch this vid. It's a mere 2 minutes 45 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBxYMaw3E_k That's Boris Johnson, the man who is being groomed to take over. I am sure you can see some parallels between him and Donald Trump at this point. He is also the man who is largely responsible for persuading much of the British people to vote against their own interests. But all that aside, what is clear is that he had absolutely no intention of leaving the EU. This was part of a political move against Cameron so he could take his position (Cameron only agreed to a referendum to appease those on the Right of his party). Johnson, the cheeky chappy who was fun to see on the TV, who couldn't even snort cocaine successfully, would have the right of the party on his side because he championed the Leavers. The left would put up with him because of he isn't one of the right-wingers (Eurosceptics, as they're called here), and he would be king. A lesson here in being careful what you wish for methinks. But you're right. I don't think that he has any intention of invoking article 50. But the rest of the EU member states really don't like us right now, and I don't think we're going to get a choice.
