I see nothing wrong with close scrutiny of police actions...all it can do is force more training and weed out those that should not carry a badge. The discussion of policing also shines a light on social problems that need to be addressed. Butch Agreed, maybe we should wait for all the facts. However more white people are shot by cops than black people.

Police sources tell KDFW one suspect is down while a second possible suspect is in a downtown Dallas garage and wearing a bulletproof vest and tactical gear. Bystanders have been told to shelter in place, according to KTVT.

Nearly midnight here in Florida . . . 11 officers shot, 3 dead, 2 in surgery, 3 critical, shooting is still going on. Maybe two shooters or more???? Tragic. Eleventh shot in gun fire exchange with one of the shooters. Shooter suspect picture on TV. Also a bomb threat per police chief press conf.

Maybe he was just to stupid to realize it.

They have always considered the police the enemy. I grew up in a police family, and we were contantly harrased because of it. They want to do anything and kill any cop who gets in the way.

Looking at the stats, the police force is still doing okay. Only 90 unarmed people killed last year! That's pretty good! For a nation with hundreds of millions of people. And only 36 black unarmed male shot dead in 2015. That's not an epidemic! Considering 54 unarmed white males were shot dead too in 2015.
