The Republican party is the one who ended slavery. The Republican party was the ones that got segregation ended in the 1960's. And it is the Republican party that had the most diverse field of candidates for the Presidential nomination in history.
Immigrants? Yes we want people to come to America. BUT DO IT LEGALLY. It's the Democrats that just turn a blind eye to illegals invading our country. Just like it is liberals who turn a blind eye in Europe with all the refugees flooding the region. How many dead bodies do you require before you understand this?
The Republicans ended segregation in the '60's? Who was president then? What was the majority in the Supreme Court? Not Republicans.
I any case, there was concern in the 1890's that poor blacks and poor whites, of which there were abundance at the time, were getting 'too close together,' having similar conditions and similar gripes. The requirement for being a Democratic politician in the South was only an impotent response to the erstwhile 'Union' at the time. In any case, the moneyed class recognized the threat, and then set out on a campaign of labeling blacks as thieves and rapists of white women. Just like today, with fuckwits like you, the media carried the day.
Once Reagan came along, the Democrats were dropped like a hot potato. Too many Southerners were, unfortunately, sold a load of crap in the 1890's, then even more unfortunately sold a bridge in the desert with Reagan by the fuckass media, -again-.
