He's not a recently ex-CEO of an oil company or a bank.
How could he even be considered?

Those people are just for Congress, silly. Or, those jobs are for after they leave Congress.

I actually think that Trump will be in Philly when the donkey show is going on. Maybe he will do a flyover.

Will that be different than his combover?

obama has deported more illegals than any republican president has, EVER.
But dont let facts interrupt your dribble.

Yet, the President doesn't even agree with your "facts," Lucy.

Which "facts" are the facts? Is Obama the "Deporter in Chief." or is he just being forced by Congress (led by the GOP) to execute the laws on the books?

Greta said it best, "If you are too lazy to google about this, that's your problem."

My post was based on information from history classes in elementary, jr. high, high school, and university classes, and a good many library books I got on my own during and after all that.

You are welcome to cite whatever result of your google search in attempt to prove wrong what I said in my post.

Unlike you, I didn't learn history from nutjob radio stations and web sites.

Specifically, you are welcome to cite whatever google gobbling you like, as long as from original -reliable sources-, to verify your claim that Republicans ended segregation in the 1960s.

considering that was three years ago, I will believe ICE figures. As "they" are the arbiters of the figures. Now if you have figures to challenge that, please go right ahead.

Considering congress has denied his immigration plans, LMAO they are doing fuck all about it and have no plan but to build a wall and stop refugees from any country that doesnt handle their "terrorism" which actually would include most european countries, including the UK,France, Germany, Turkey, Belgium etc.
I know you like a lazy congress, but it really is a pathetic excuse for the ignorant cunts.

Unfortunately, they are also for administrative posts. Like bank CEOs as Sec. Treasury, for example. And no, the former or future Clinton nor Obama escape approbation for that. But, without exculpation of the preceding, Reagan is the one who got the ball rolling there. All that deregulation and former CEOs to government posts, etc. which has now seemingly become a job requirement ever since, regardless of party. Mega-conglomerate media, at work and play.

Having foxes running the hen house has not worked well for us.

so its green party for you Marini?

Lucy, I am not voting for a party that can't win.
The American public is going to be screwed either way, after this election .
At least I can see that.

As I have said numerous times, the real crime is the candidates on both sides that are running.
How can I win being forced to vote for people I despise?

Clearly, I have nothing to look forward to in the White House.
I hope I am wrong, but I would not bet the farm on anything getting better in this country with good old Hillary and Tim.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result!!!!!
Hilliary Clinton offers and represents no fucking change in this country.
None
Hillary and Tim are in bed, indebted to and represent corporate America.

If I am wrong about "this pair", I will be the first to admit it.
Hell I will take out an ad, make signs and be the first to start the appreciation rally.

It's just too obvious, and it's this country that will continue to deteriorate.
I don't have 4 years to suffer through Clinton and "look forward" to 2020.
This is just pathetic, and it's all of the little people that will continue to suffer.

So having a female as the Prez nominee does not add diversity to a ticket? Who knew that we were so gender-blind?

I'm not going to spend the next 4 years bitching over what I can clearly see I will not be happy about.

Im not being snarky by asking that, I can understand your feelings honestly and I was asking out of interest.
Apart from the fact that I could no more vote for any platform that the repubs put up than I could fly through the air, my belief is that trump and the Repubs will make things a damn site worse than they are right now.
I hope Im wrong.
Im no fan of Hils, she is way to the right for my liking. Being a woman doesnt sweeten her at all for me.
The whole system is corrupt, bloated, and full of crooked, thieving lying arseholes, but, Trump is hardly the person to lead the country anywhere but to the shithole. He has less credibility with me than they do. And that is saying something. I dont like politicians period. Donald Trump is worse. His hate is contagious, and its showing.

But YMMV

Marini -> RE: Clinton picks Kaine (7/24/2016 9:49:52 AM)

I didn't find your post snarky, I'm beyond sad over the candidates running.
I think it's a crime that Hillary won the democratic nomination.
I think it's a crime that you should be expected to be "happy" to vote for someone you don't trust, don't respect, and don't think she will do anything great for this country, only cause
----------> at least she ain't that guy.

This country is almost as low as it can go, but we are can certainly go lower.

Marini -> RE: Clinton picks Kaine (7/24/2016 9:52:31 AM)

I plan on wearing all black on Election Day, cause whoever wins on Election Day, we are going to be screwed.

So you are going to throw your vote away rather than vote for a candidate you believe in?

Thank you for your vote.

Marini -> RE: Clinton picks Kaine (7/24/2016 9:55:57 AM)

Lucy brought up the Green Party.
I'm not a member of the Green Party.
What are you talking about?

I have voted in every major election since, I was 18, and will vote until I die {hopefully}.
I don't need to be thanked for voting, or told who I should vote for.
Thanks for playing.

on the positive side hon...None of the issues will go away, in as much as there are signs that social and civil issues will continue to be fought wether its poverty, racism, criminal justice reform, sexism, and economic issues, no matter who wins.
This cycle has brought more than hate to the forefront. Those issues do matter and need the support.

Oh I agree, lets sit back and see what Hill and Tim represent.
I know how Tim feels being in his right to work state.
lol
Did you read what I said about him?
Anyway, I'm sure Tim and Hill will be for the working people.

It seems to be a fact that he's deporting a lot more illegals than his predecessor. Maybe that's what that one's about?

Lucylastic -> RE: Clinton picks Kaine (7/24/2016 10:25:44 AM)

Yes I did, and I dont like him either, I also know a few people who live down there so I've heard stuff in the recent past.

Maybe you should take a geology class.

I'm not being 'snarkish,' just saying that if we get an understanding of how nature evolves, it might bring some perspective as to how humans in particular might be evolving.

Sometimes 'more information' can hurt as much as it helps. I am NOT saying that 'less information is better,' or claiming anything of the sort. I'm just saying that thinking people and well informed people are more likely to be impatient about human progress.

I am, however, encouraged by the number of young people (really young) who were major 'Bernie!' fans. He is too old, and they are too young, so that's not going to happen.

But- . . .

I mean, if there are even just 10-15% more of college grads in the US who have a notion of and better inclination about society more than about financial derivatives, then we stand a chance.

It's not going to happen in this election.

But from what I've seen of some not insignificant number of the younger folk, I find room for optimism.

Yes, you are being snarky, and I know just what to do.
