If you had checked back on page one you would have seen that I said That the cop and possibly the training instructor screwed up big time. Since he shot here more than once he most likely put in a magazine with live ammo rather than the one with blanks.

Show be one statement I made that even remotely defended the cop.

However the live and blank ammunition would be stored seperatly (or most assuredly should be) so that doesn't explain the screwup.

It's irrelevant what sort of firearm he was using or who loaded it.
The point is, he fucked up by either loading it himself or not checking what was handed to him.
That's just plain sloppy and unprofessional.

No matter how you slice the cake, bottom line is he is still responsible. Period.

When they have that sort of training here, it is usually held at a separate location where live ammo isn't around, or, when this takes place at a regular shooting area, all other activity is cancelled and live ammo is locked away.

He is an American and a cop, so he should be in jail.
You clearly don't know how these things work.
Often the training supervisor will hand him the firearm just as he begins the exercise and he has no opportunity to check the loads, if the trainer can't tell the differnace between live ammo and a blank he shouldn't be the trainer.
Yes it does make a difference what kind of firearm he was using.
With a revolver just looking at the front of the cylinders would tell him if they were live or blanks.
With an automatic he would have to unload the magazine and check each round.
You want touble you tell the trainer you think he is incompetant.

To here you tell it everything here is inferior to there.
But then you claim to hit a target at a range where it can't be seen with a air rifle that won't carry that far, so I think you can tell how highly I view your opinion.

Do you have anything to the contrary that proves your officers are superior in any way to ours?

Your training is shit.
Your professionalism seems to be shot to pieces.
Too many sloppy incidents resulting in deaths.

The answer is none. Some will, with a special attachment. When a real bullet is fired through the attachment it hits an obstruction and the pressure is exhausted to the sides.
Guns without the device need to be cycled by hand for each round. Which means this clown fired two rounds through a safety device or he cycled the weapon by hand for two live rounds. The recoil from blank is about 10% of that from a real bullet.
This boys has history and is currently being charged with excessive force in a k9 attack on a bicyclist. It is all in the link.
