ORIGINAL: BamaD You are entitled to your opinion, I see him as a cynical oppotunist taking advantage of the situation for personal gain. I was speaking about this with one of my professors, the other day. He's an avid fan of the NFL and has been for longer than I. I was on a jag about the absolute toothlessness of Kaepernak's "protest". He asked what I meant and I explained: Kaepernak didn't chose a form of protest that had any potential for negative effects on him or his career. I think this kind of supports your assertion and my suspicion of his motivation. Why didn't he refuse to dress for a game as a form of protest? Simple. He might have been fined/suspended/cut, if he had. At that point, if the team had cut him, it would have been "for cause". I haven't been able to find a legitimate source, but I've heard rumors that his mom disagrees with his chosen method of protest. I guess that could bring some negative consequences. Kaepernak's an entitled pussy, trying to become relevant in some way because the avenue that was open to him before is no longer available. His "ballroom days" are over. Michael I am sure you know that he was adopted. I do realize that and I believe the reference was to his adoptive mother (although I can't be sure because I still haven't found a legit source). Michael Yes, I saw that and it was his adoptive mother.
