If you understand anything about structure fires then you know the buildings did exactly what a hot fire does to a structure. The idea there was a demolition system is far fetched. I'd need to see a citation. You could note that the towers were built just after asbestos was banned because of all of the lawsuits against it. The insulation was no where near what asbestos of the day or insulation of today would be. The fires, fueled with wing tanks full of jet fuel, just melted the structural steel and the building floors collapsed on each other as any fire fighter would have predicted.
In fact the WTC was loaded with asbestos and was a white elephant. The WTC had not a single deal on the complex in over 30 years prior to Silverstein's deal which BTW was just 6 months before 9/11 and included a very unusual clause for any terrorist attack that did pay off in the billion$.
In fact, the reason there had not been any deal on the complex is because there was a $200 million asbestos (among others) abatement on the bldgs. upon which a waiver was granted every year. Silverstein Group got $4.6 billion insurance payout. Isn't that precious ?

In 1971, New York City banned the use of asbestos in spray fireproofing. At that time, asbestos insulating material had only been sprayed up to the 64th floor of the World Trade Center towers.
Other materials were substituted for asbestos. Though the substitute sprays passed Underwriters Laboratories’ tests, not everyone was convinced they would work as well.
One skeptic was the late-Herbert Levine who invented spray fireproofing with wet asbestos in the late-1940s. Levine’s invention involved a combination of asbestos with mineral wool and made commonplace the construction of large steel framed buildings.

Hidden among that cloudy air, inhaled by survivors and first responders alike, were carcinogenic particles and chemicals—asbestos, fiberglass, mercury, and benzene, among others. The Natural Resources Defense Council estimates that 300 to 400 tons of asbestos fibers were used to construct the World Trade Center.

With all of the excitement of 9/11 - and the full day of "terrorist reports", the mainstream news media failed to delve deeply into a number of existing situations that were playing out behind the scenes of 9/11. One of the main stories that seems to have been blocked, is the fact that the WTC Buildings had a number of floors which were deemed "health risks" due to the fact that there was an asbestos issue in a great number of the floors of the WTC towers.
The WTC Towers were over 110 stories each - and presented a huge Asbestos Abatement issue, which would have involved removing the Asbestos from the floors of the WTC building - to the tune of over one million dollars per floor.
Do people realize this?
Probably not.
Most people still place the events of 9/11 - into the category of "Conspiracy Theory" - without EVER doing their homework into investigating the many details that were playing out behind the scenes.
