Status: offline 		We keep hearing that if we keep honest people from having guns it will dry up the source for criminals.
Nobody has ever said how long the expect a disarmed public will have to deal with armed criminals.

Status: offline 		When does the gun ban start? I know our boy has been on welfare all his life, and he should have lots of time to read and become educated but he doesnt.

Sorta makes you wonder though, after the gun 'ban' in England, how many criminals own guns?

Very few.
Granted, there are some, as guns are allowed here (it's not a total ban).
Even most gang members here are more likely to carry a baseball bat or a knife than a gun.

But there are sufficiently few guns that pretty much 99.9% of crimes, either on the street or assailants in your home, aren't packing anything much beyond (possibly) a knife.
Gun crimes are so few and far between, they make national headlines here because of their rarity.

You can't say that of the US.

According to the fbi crime stats, crime is at a 40 year low. Maybe if you had your doctor check your meds you would not be hearing these voices that pour the shit in your ears that you spew from your mouth.

Why don't you do a little reading and become educated yourself. Then maybe you could tell us all what the consumer demand for guns are in England compared to the demand in the US.

Do we actually want it though Peon??

The whole continent is full of mad hatters.
It gets horrendous weather patterns (tornado's, hurricanes, white-outs etc).
Not to mention earthquakes and such.
It would cost an arm and a leg to bring their electric grid up to par with ours.
We'd have to ban probably 60% of vehicles from the roads because their testing regime is crap and many are just plain dangerous.
....and we'd have to teach them how to drive on the proper side of the road too!


Would we want it? Really???

You still think there are not any cultural differences between our two countries, that geographically they are approximately the same size and that the size difference you see on the map is an optical illusion (no wide open spaces here). You still think that the same flavor of gun control you describe in your country that works so well will work the same in the in the USA. Good for you

But Australia is similar in size to north America.
They have similar wide open spaces like the US does.
They also adopted a similar gun restriction policy to ours.
They don't have daily gun deaths that run into the 000's.
They don't have mass killings several times every year.
They don't have guns in virtually half the households.
They don't have people carrying guns in public places.
And, like us, they don't need 'gun free zones' because the whole country is treated as a gun free zone.

Read their stats and compare.

As for culture??
That would be because you lot can't let go of a 200+ year old document not fit for purpose.
You lot are soo paranoid of your government that you daren't let your guns go.

Go figure.
