Status: offline 		I'll go with that Alecta and thanks. I certainly wouldn't call it a third world country now and it is known as the richest city in the world I believe. So where motor-mouth gets his never ending yapping about Singapore being a third world country from is a mystery only he can solve......................and only HE is really interested in.

Status: offline 		A long time ago my vanilla Canadian (now ex) boyfriend told everyone that he'd "rescued" me from a third world country in order to feel good about himself. It's still funny to me this day. Especially since I took him out from the slums.

What a bunch of bloody drongos there are around *smile*. Much of Asia was civilized before America and Canada were even thought of. In fact the Chinese fleets of 1421 were in America long before Columbus came on the scene.

But then "civilized" is a subjective word. We thought it was barbaric for women to walk around with whalebone under their skirts. (And stupid to be wearing 30 layers of satin and damask under the tropical sun, and savage that you cannot expect men to behave themselves just because a girl so much as shows an ankle)

Status: offline 		Poisonous Mammals ? Which ones are they ? Please don't say the Platypus because it's not a really a mammal by definition. I WILL go along with the snakes ( of the ten most poisonous, we have twelve of them *smile*), the crocodiles ( if you go looking for them, they will find you) and the spiders, but no, they may be classed as 'common', but I would doubt that most people see any of those things from one years end to the next, except in the local zoo.

I like to see an attractive sub or slave in a corset ( or any attractive woman for that matter), but can you imagine wearing a full corset on a hot summer day in Australia ???? It's 32 today already and not even Summer yet !! I may have a touch of sadist in me but I am not completely out of it *smile*. We had a Singaporean friend come to visit last Summer and she wanted to wear a latex cat-suit. She looked good in it for the ten minutes she managed to wear it and when she peeled it off, she looked like she had just stepped out of the shower *LOL*. I offered to turn the a/c on then but she specifically want to wear it in the gardens. So it got packed neatly away.

But the platypus feeds milk to its young. Isn't that the key requirement for mammalhood?

Status: offline 		ep, we have some strange animals in Australia ( and I'm only one of them *smile*)................we used to have a dog who would lie on his front paws and watch echidnas until the uncurled and waddled away and then he would follow and they would curl up again and the whole process would start all over again. He would keep that up for hours. Ah well, it kept him ( and us) amused I guess.

Don't forget cute little quokkas and koala bears!! No where else on earth have them! Australia is so special, they even got special animals!

Hanging out with Quokkas always make me happy they are so friendly in their natural environment! You can pet them! And so tiny and cute!

Status: offline 		If you go to one of the zoos near here, there is a large compound where you can walk in amongst the wallabies and feed them peanuts. They are really friendly and inquisitive little critters too. Come right up to you and try and steal the food out of your pockets.
