how about refuting the position the author is making about islam and the Koran instead??

(which admonition will no doubt cause you to attempt to insult me instead...)

How about reading the fucking link and working out which attack is about Islamists and which isnt, instead of your kneejerk reactions.

Yep, I insult you for being a fuckwit who insults overs then pleads the fifth, so sue me.

Peon I disagree with nothing in your post. But I do think there is a collective responsibility towards the actions of those in your religion that are killing and murdering and intolerant of others. There of course are some Muslims fighting this sickness but it simply could not exist in the first place if all Muslims of peace did not tolerate it.

Oh FFS grow up Butch. Are you really suggesting that criminality would stop if it wasnt tolerated by the majority.

Go view some crime stats and have a rethink.

Again, I don't get that, Butch. It's mainly Muslims who are fighting Muslims in the hotspots of the middle east. There's zero love lost between them. It's quite likely that the most hated person of the average Muslim in the middle east is another Muslim.

As for the average British or US Muslim ... surely, all he or she should do - and would naturally do - is distance himself or herself from all that stuff? Me, in that position, I'd say, 'What the hell have they got to do with me? I'm British/American - I have *no idea* what makes those loonies tick!'

Myself I don't call the battle between Muslims terrorism...My comments refer to terrorism which has plagued much of the world outside of the sect battles in the Muslim world. Perhaps this is where we differ in our comments and thinking.

ISIS is fighting Hamas over which one of them has the right to kill all the Jews in Israel.

Really.

That's your religion of peace for you.

That's not a nice thing to say about Kaliko.

So, what yer sayin' is "My ad hominem is OK, your ad hominem is not OK".

I am truly sorry that something I have done has triggered you, dear. I hope you found your way to a safe space before it was too late.

Please submit to me a full list of references that upset you so that I may avoid them in the future. Or perhaps there's a cutoff date beyond which information is no longer permitted to be referenced.

Oh, and suck my dick, boy.

I have standards, my own. Not yours, not anyone elses, MINE. They might not jive with yours, thats fine with me.
Attacking someones spouse and children is a no go area for me personally, Attacking their orientation, sexuality, or colour are others.
If you have a problem with that...suffer.
You sound a little desperate ... bless your heart....

Me, in that position, I'd say, 'What the hell have they got to do with me? I'm British/American - I have *no idea* what makes those loonies tick!'

There's your problem Peon.
You are applying very moderate rational christian thinking to a group who generally do not think that way.

You, like many westerners would distance yourself.
That makes sense to you.
Muslims think they should support each other.
Whatever side of the Muslim divide they are on, they still support their own side in whatever struggle is happening in the ME.
But outside of that, their common enemy is anything non-Muslim.

If you like, it's more akin to an absolute footy fanatic (Millwall supporter?) supporting his team rather than football or sport in general.
If you look at the many many fights that happen at football matches between fans, then ask a tennis fan why they are doing it, that's the sort of thing you are trying to compare and make sense of.

As another example, lets look at pedo's and cannibals.
To most people in the west, their activities are abhorrent and they should be locked away for life or executed for following their beliefs.
To those indulging in such activities, it's quite natural and are puzzled as to why people are so against what they do.
So if they realise they are living in such a culture, they keep it under wraps and hide it so they aren't caught.
They also put on a facade so that to others, they appear normal and friendly and part of society.
This is how many, but obviously not all, Muslims behave and project their ideology.
They tell us what we want to hear rather than the abject truth of what they are thinking and believing behind the facade.
And what's more, an awful lot of the west swallow it hook line and sinker.
They appeal to our western sense of tolerance and rationality; that's how they get away with the facade.

I know some will ask what the fuck has pedo's and cannibals have to do with Islam for this comparison?
Quite simple: absolute and blind faith in their own customs and practices.
If it's not allowed where you are, do it behind closed doors and cover it up so nobody notices.
Then smile at your neighbour so they don't suspect anything has been going on.

Why do you think honour killings still happen when it is illegal here?
Why do you think many girls are forced into marriage by having it performed in their home lands instead of here?
Why do you think so many Muslims are radicalised into fighting for their cause?
Why do you think they are so vociferous and go on a rampage because of a satirical cartoon?
You don't see other religions doing that, only the Muslims showing their true colours.

And when you think about it, isn't that exactly what a lot of BDSM'ers do when confronted with the general public and their neighbours?
Isn't that exactly what the gays and lesbians did until recent years?
Having a cultural facade to fool people around you isn't so far fetched or even a new idea.

Strange you should say that...
I worked for Goodwill here in ontario.
They had "sheltered" workshops for the many types of disability, I believe they were complicit in a lot of bad ones, in fact I know they were. The ideas were amazing. the reality was despicable.
They had programs for unemployed people, they worked with walmart on the disabilities programs.
There were huge problems with greed from the backers, goodwill and employers. disability segregation from the "normies" and shitty wages.
So bad that Ontario started closing the province wide sheltered workshops last year.

I enjoyed working with the people I met in the various programs, but the management and greedy cunts screwed it up for a lot of very vulnerable people.

Im not surprised by the way you think.

See, for me, that all focuses on the extreme and newsworthy of what's happening, rather than the core. In each of those four cases, the answer would be 'But most Muslims don't'. They tut, feel pissed off to a smaller or greater extent, but then get on with their lives; lives which are in most ways like those of their non-Muslim compatriots. So the question is, what are Muslims' 'true colours'? Is it what Muslims on the fringes think and do, or is it the majority?
