TRUMP WON

America lost.

The first 90 days of the new administration will make the liberal heads spin out of control. I can't wait. 1st to come will be a cut in the corporate tax rate.

It will be interesting to see its impact on the national debt about which right-wingers profess such concern.

Question -- will we even know tomorrow?

The House of Representatives doesn't count the votes until January -- will they be reported, or do we just wonder until then?

Trump wins.

"Breaking News" - Trump won the election

I am so surprised

They will make spending cuts as needed to offset any tax cuts. LOTS of spending cuts...

More money for the economy. More money to hire more people. Less money for the goverment. Sounds like a rational plan.

Take a look at trump's cabinet. Very successful business execs that know to get things done. It will happen.

Oh, man! Theres gonna be an earthquake! Obama golfed all of the time. He's on another leisurely extended luxury vacation right now - Donald Trump is the type, who only needs four hours of sleep per night, and he is all business for most of the rest of the twenty hours that he has.

Let these fools preach that nothing will happen, who cares. This is going to be good.

Musicmystery -> RE: Tis Electoral college Vote Eve (12/19/2016 6:34:59 PM)

There will be a lot of tweets. Huge!

Mostly about TV shows he finds sad.

Btw, since trickle down has been shown repeatedly for the past 35 years not to work, these billionaires are good at creating wealth for themselves. Running a country for the benefit of all its citizens is very different. I don't think he knows how -- or wants to.

With Republicans in command at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, I don't doubt that policy changes will happen.

What effects they'll have is a whole different story. My "We'll see" refers to that.

I'm old enough to remember our last two apostles of revenue-cutting. Ronald Reagan was sworn is as president of the world's leading creditor and left us as the world's largest debtor. George W. Bush took us from a surplus to a financial meltdown.

The Fed is already busy raising rates on Obamas $21 trillion of debt, from practically nothing the whole time he was in office.. Ever tried to make balloon payments on $21 trillion worth of debt?

Time to crash the economy, a Republican just took over.

Yep, we'll see. Trump isn't stupid though, and I am far from the only one with confidence in him.

Musicmystery -> RE: Tis Electoral college Vote Eve (12/19/2016 8:00:26 PM)

You're aware that raising rates will COST the US money, as the interest on the debt will increase?

Monetary and fiscal policy are not the same.

servantforuse -> RE: Tis Electoral college Vote Eve (12/19/2016 8:14:12 PM)

Interest rates should have been raised 9 months to a year ago.

DaddySatyr -> RE: Tis Electoral college Vote Eve (12/19/2016 9:01:26 PM)

Hillary finally won one!

She set the all-time record for most "faithless electors" in one election year, having lost seven EC votes!

"Yay!" for Hillary! She really did make history in 2016!

The optics aren't good here, that much is sure.

Nutsuckers have a long history of crashing the economy, I think everyone has confidence that they will again.

I imagine if you sober up you will finally get that's exactly what I wrote - hence the term "balloon payments".

Yep. Starting with a bubble boom.

Right out of the playbook.

So...will the budding pact among states render the EC powerless?

Since an Amendment seems unlikely to pass.
