Honestly, I have no problems with this restaurant refusing Trump Voters at all. It is their right to choose their customers. This is a restaurant in Honolulu anyway. Perhaps we will start seeing more of this around the US.

Both cases are examples of discrimination, and both are unacceptable. There are differences of course, but imo no one should be able to discriminate because of their political beliefs. Not all Trump voters are racist, mysogynistic, or deplorable. Many just saw no better alternative to a woman that represented the mainstream establishment. Pretty obvious that if Bernie was the candidate, he would have easily won.

Ironic, considering Trump wants to hang a similar sign targeting Muslims on all of America. Fighting discrimination with discrimination never works, but at the same time I understand that people feel the need to take action and let everyone know that they will not accept Trump. Hating people because they helped a fascist into power isn't exactly the same as hating people because they're gay... I mean, fascism actually hurts people.

FR If I ever saw a sign like that I would not go there. Even IF, and that is a big IF, I had voted for Clinton. Not that I would ever, but say they ran someone good. T^T

I would respect the restaurateur's wishes and take my business (and my 25-33% tip) elsewhere. I'd make sure their wait staff found out about it, though. Michael

FR I wouldn't feel comfortable going there, whether the sign said Trump or Clinton. Just one more way to openly take sides and create a greater divide at every level.

If there were a rash of voters who had voted for President-Elect Trump going into this restaurant and shooting the joint up ... or, if there were trucks, driven by "Trump voters" driving into the front window, it might be equivalent to the dangers this country faces from immigrants from countries where terrorists have a hold. I've already explained why I think Trump is a fascist... so do you think that we should all learn to accept and love fascism? So acceptance of Neo-nazis is, in your mind, equivalent to acceptance of say, black people or homosexuals? I don't know what the constitution has to do with anything, and I don't know why you think progressives are supposed to be universally accepting of absolutely everything and everyone. Nobody is accepting of everything and everyone unless they're one of those people with no beliefs or values whatsoever-- the kind of people who think they can make everyone happy all the time.
