ORIGINAL: tamaka ... so much for hard work https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/how-warren-buffett-made-12-billion-in-2016-202017531.html So, you think he didn't work hard to get to where he is? No... i don't. How many long hard hours would nurses, teachers, plumbers, etc have to work to make that kind of money? So your argument is that because someone else doesn't earn as much as he earns, he hasn't worked hard. No... my argument is that no one should be able to make that kind of money. The money he has is way beyond the proportion of any 'Work' he has done. Money is made for circulation. If you mean his returns outweighed his risk, you would be right or that he doesn't contribute to society as say a heart surgeon, you may be right again. But the only solution would be tax it so as to make sure he does contribute and he himself has said that given the tax on labor, he should pay more but will not until he is forced to. That society might be able to argue that say $3 billion or $4 billion so go in taxes as compared to 1040 rates would be a start but imagine getting laws to do that when we are to worship him and the very idea that billion$ can be made. I mean for those in power who think god put us here to make billion$ and you can't...mess with (tax) god. I've been throwing around the idea of some type of 'Patriotic Capitalism' idea where certain funds were set up and after paying some basic tax, you could pick how an additional amount was designated but it would be required, not optional.
