ORIGINAL: Greta75 I think it's just you feel that way because, you don't like the fact that he is President, and reading too much into it. You just don't like he chose inauguration day, because you don't like him as President. But to me, he wants to bring the country together, and that is a good day to mark the start of it. If he had any interest in bringing the country together, he wouldn't be doing things that are actively pissing people off. The way you bring people together is by compromising and finding common ground-- not doing whatever you want and expecting everyone to love you for it. I don't know how anyone with basic social skills could not know this. ... like appealing to every American citizen's sense of patriotism. "Hey, I know I represent everything you hate and all, but it would be awesome if you turned off your brains, forgot about everything you believe in and embraced mindless patriotism. Even though I'm going to turn your homeland into everything you despise, you don't have to be upset about it-- I don't really have any concrete reasons why you shouldn't be... you just should." Maybe if you tried to control your hate then we would have some place to start. Nobody should accept the unacceptable or tolerate the intolerable. It's like slapping someone in the face and telling them not to feel pain.
