i'll say it again---the source from which I see this danger emerging, if ever, is from the left, not trump, and not conservatives So then... you agree that torture should be used and is in accordance with the American way? That this way of thinking is not a departure from what separates us from the Hitler's Germany of this world? Can you not see where fighting terrorist with terrorism is stepping away from our basic principles as a just nation? Some... not all... of the actions of Trump I believe would be looked upon with disdain by Republicans of just 30 years ago. They would not see their party in his actions. Butch Thirty years ago Democrats and Republicans alike weren't the PC pussies they are today, they probably did far more back then - you just didn't instantly hear about every fart and whisper around the globe live on Facebook. It wasn't all about getting likes for turning on your fellow soldiers or getting selfies with CIA corpses in the background. There were no self-centered millennials or camera phones either And no one had watched video of guys getting lit on fire or having their heads sawed off with dull knives, or watched live as passenger jets were flown into skyscrapers. Had they faced the enemies we face today thirty years ago who knows what they would have been willing to do if the CIA had al Qaeda master planners in custody somewhere That's who was water boarded, one of the key the masterminds behind 9/11. Just for fun, name the last enemy we fought who honored any kind of international protocol on POWs
