The "strong black woman" is admittedly a stereotype that has its advantages and its detriments. I did not invent the stereotype and some black writers will dwell on the negatives. However, I am taking Maxine Water's definition and laying it over the many black women I have worked with who just simply would not be intimidated by anyone.

Here is a list of guests who have appeared on Bill O'Reilly's 598 episodes between 2005 and 2017. There are hardly 4 or 5 black women guests. The only one I might consider to be a strong, take-no-shit woman would be Dr. Jocylen Elders who was appointed Surgeon General of the United States and then fired by President Bill Clinton who was frightened over her remarks on legalizing drugs as a deterrent to crime and teaching masturbation as a deterrent to early pregnancies. Poor Bill, caught between a white rock at home and a black hard place at work. Dr. Elders was not easily intimidated.
