The current sticky posts make clear these are not acceptable:

- attacking more than not
- mentioning a poster not in a thread
- using a poster's ethnic/religious/gender-preference in an attack
- harassment by continually attacking a poster

Now, these (and other guidelines, like not changing thread titles or a poster's name), are continually ignored.

Have the forum guidelines changed?

Is it time for someone to update the sticky notes at the top of this forum?

Have we moved to the honor system?

Is there sufficient honor here?

Is a continual insult-fest what posters here desire?

What brought this on?

Is not a lie, liar, egregious stereotype, a sock, misinformation, fake news – not an attack?

politics and religion too rough for ya?

So you want more euphemistic politically correct approach or outright censorship?

Politics is most often religion gone public after all, how do you plan to reasonably implement that since damn near all qualitative judgments border on or is entirely based in religion regardless of the label one wants to define themselves under. What about stalking people with the same dumb assed strawman question used as an adhomimen attack? Does that count?

As long we are not talking about libel whats the problem?

They're not going to achieve any of those without more moderators.

I'm not the one who set those guidelines.

Are they the guidelines? If not, what are the guidelines?

Are there guidelines?

The guidelines just establish what rightards can whine to the mods about, and threads that will be yanked for nasty nonrightardthink talking.
Holocaust denial is acceptable. Hilary bashing is approved. Namecalling the Trumptooners is grounds to pull a thread.
But any ideological bias here (as it is anyplace else on the internet) is purely left leaning...

Additionally, what about name-calling is "politics and religion"?

Is freedom for censorship about "if no one makes me I can't be a grown-up"?

on the other side of that same coin however, creating a thread to directly attacking another member is way out of bounds.

rea0ne posts (save his last one) make 100% sense to me on this one and he knew what I meant.

I will repeat Is not a lie, liar, egregious stereotype, a sock, misinformation, fake news – not an attack? that will win you a presidency in one particular country

Want to know what happens when you have corrupt hypocritical moderation and forums owners who are (lie, liar, egregious stereotype, a sock, misinformation, fake news etc) Fuk over to fetlife and have a look - really go look- I will hold your hand if you feel the need.

and why would the board want to involve itself with determining what is and is not and what level of whatever you are imagining is 'grown up'?

Of course it is. I reported one of the threads created to do that; someone else reported the one created about me. Both were deleted.

Another thread had so many personal attacks that two pages of posts were cut down to just two posts.

The question here is -- what ARE the guidelines?

Is there a problem for you with being honest about what they are?

Actually, it was only Sanity, as far as I know, who was a serious whiner from the Right.
According to a few emails I obtained, don't ask how, He would make up to 20 complaints/day. Guess how many were valid?
typically, the number was ZERO. Until, of course, his pet mod 3 got some power.

Why did the board ever set guidelines then?
