That hardly seems the point.

How about we cut the military expenditures on stuff the military doesn't even want and spend that feeding people.

How about we limit food stamps to actual nutritious food?

Healthy and nutritious food often is more expensive then non-nutritious food.
Higher calorie, energy dense foods are often a better bargain for those with very limited budgets.
Vegetables and fruits are almost becoming a luxury for many.

Nope. Sending jobs overseas.

This need not be framed in terms of "entitlement."
"Should we ensure every American can eat" is a more honest question.

Or how about as an alternative (that will rile the RWNJs) do we all have a duty to be sure no American is starving?

Anything to boost Big Gov, eh, Vincent?

Or, how about we cut the military expenditures (along with a whole host of other expenditures), lower taxes so people have more of their own money, and let people be charitable?

OMG!!! Those GDMFers!!! How dare they keep their costs low so they can continue to compete in the market!

Does this mean you're a xenophobe because you hate citizens of other countries and want them to not have work available? And, considering most multinationals that are accused of paying "slave wages" are usually paying more than what those workers could get otherwise (iow, they aren't "slave wages" to those who are getting them).

It means he's a leftist as he believes the free market is not working to anybody's best interests outside of the dwindling pool of plutocrats.
Not quite the same thing as xenophobia, which would involve blaming the issue on illegal immigrants sneaking into the country to steal American jobs somebody who was born there should be getting minimum wage for instead of a wetback.
(Not, of course, that anybody in your political system has ever actually suggested this purely hypothetical and clearly absurd example as a reason for unemployment about white folk who speaka de American.)

WickedsDesire -> RE: Is every American is entitled to eat? (7/27/2017 10:21:44 AM)

Credible data in what regards?

Who the fuk resurrects all these older threads anyway - i dont mind it happening with a really good one - I exclude myself and mines from that

Finite, moments in time, a feeble eternity - are they interchangeable, valid part of a greater continuum ?

he sacked Sessions yet?
Go on Donald sack him.
You know you want too.

I wish you'd really stop using racial epithets in your posts.

I stand (well, truth be told, I'm sitting) corrected about Vincent being a xenophobe. I guess he's somewhat of a Luddite.

Opposing the increasing tendency of late capitalism to try to reinstate feudalism as the economic set up that best suits the unregulated free market is considered luddism now?

Where is this feudalism being reinstated?

Where is this unregulated free market? And, who is arguing for an unregulated free market?

Please also note the use of the adjective, "quasi-." It's important.

Wherever capitalists cry for freedom from oppressive government regulation and taxation, and the capitalists who don't like having to pay taxes or being expected to provide safe working conditions for their employees.

Do you have any idea how pathetic that sounds coming from somebody who's spent a whole thread failing to provide a single scrap of evidence for any statement you've made?

Doesn't matter whether you were or not if you're complaining about others not offering it.
