The daughter of a friend of mine, the mother made her sit in a car seat until she was 18 and moved out of the house because she was small and under the weight that the "government" said a child had to be in a car seat.

Where I live, fences around pools with alarms that ring outside and in the house are required by law.

Guns, have to be locked away from children by law.

Yet, even though all the laws are one size fits all that has the government doing all of the thinking for the people (note 18-year olds in car seats) kids still drown, kids still shoot friends on accident and kids still fall out of windows.

I'm not opposed at all to making a law that says if a child gets a hold of your gun and harm is done to anyone, or any thing, the parent is held responsible. I am very opposed to nanny state laws that aren't ever enforced or are enforced in a current political fashion.

I think we should eliminate police officers too -- they don't eliminate all crime, so they don't work, right?

And our military isn't always successful, so it doesn't work either. Let's eliminate it.

I live way out in the middle of nowhere. Police don't come here and if I called one they wouldn't be here within an hour. I police my own property and let my neighbors police theirs. I don't buy electricity from anyone. I understand that the pinkos think getting rid of the military would stop all wars. A few facts:

1) Pool fences are just basic common sense.
2) Securing fire arms in the home is just common sense
3) putting kids in car seats below a certain age is, again, common sense
4) requiring children to wear helmets on an atv or four wheeler is, again, common sense.


That being said, and after observing humanity for some time, I have come to the conclusion that common sense is something that is lacking in every nation on the planet.

So, lets look at a few numbers:
1) 1,149 children are killed each year in accidents involving drunk drivers

Now, while you folks are screaming about guns killing kids, which is tragic, I have to point out that there are other things killing kids, and while the numbers of accidental poisoning do not reflect the deaths, the simple fact that many kids are accidentally poisoned each year because adults lack the common sense to put these compounds out of reach of children is equally damning.

And the fact that you anti gun people are going to ignore these numbers, which are far greater than those involving guns and concentrate strictly on guns proves one fucking point, you do not care about children's safety unless a gun is involved.

im a conservative leaning libertarian, and don't see myself, or any other libertarian I know, or have read, that is truly represented within any of those frames.

I get that its an attempt at humor, but rather what I see is the left needing to create something that doesn't exist so that they can make fun of it---or alternatively, the left yet again not being able to accurately portray what the "other sides" actually believe.
