ORIGINAL: WinsomeDefiance It's is so apparent now, because people were celebrating that marriage was legal for gay/lesbian couples. I've marched in LGBT "parades" which were actually protests, that ended at the steps of the State Capital. I did my own happy dance in private, when gay marriage was legalized. There is still a social and religious stigma to being gay/lesbian. Some people make a point of showing support, even when it isn't something that effects them personally, because they believe in equality of rights. Some just do it because it's the current fad. I say any chance you get to dance in the street, go for it. Celebrate Life. Celebrate the art of celebrating. Ok but people need to start getting it together, that is the popular mantra however it has nothing to do with 'equal' rights what so ever, it has to do with 'personal' rights 'PERIOD'. That is all part of your religion, the state has no 'LEGITIMATE' jurisdiction to tell you what religion you must adhere to period. People really need to start getting their philosophy, metaphysics and theology in order before they lose everything they value in life to the state. I would have thought the mormon thing would have awakened people but it didnt, now gay marriage and it isnt, too bad. People need to wake up and start judging the judges and research the foundations of where they allegedly got the powers they claim, and try to validate it, it will be an eyeopener
