This is sort of the attitude that the professor was talking about, wasn't it?
You can't process the notion that maybe every other country in the world isn't just another version of America.

It doesn't matter what you think 'should' have happened. When you go to another country, you learn the basics and act respectfully... anyone who has done even a little travelling outside of the western world could tell you that this is common sense.
I guarantee that if he had gone there anxious to prove how respectful and gracious Americans can be, instead of thinking only of himself, then he would still be alive today.

It seems like more and more US Schools these days are against free speech and they got the power to regulate it within their organization. Like that Valedictorian kid who got his speech cut off mid way.

But technically, for her to single out the race thing, would have made it illegal in my country. She would have been charged inciting "racial tension".

Because to complain about "white privilege" is the same as complaining about "black people being nuisance". And seriously, that statement is so inaccurate, because any race could have done what Otto did. All ya need is a spoiled rich kid visiting North Korea.

Rich kids stealing things thinking they can get away with it to show off? Happens all the time. Just that this idiot chose to do it in North Korea. Where the punishment is labour camp.
