1979 Blue and white blazer, Big tires, crazy good engine.

A real mud machine that I got In 1999. All the boys loved it to say the least and I well I was the itsy bitsy 4’9 chick driving it. I loved that lug of a car till I started commuting for school and went through 70 dollars of gas a week; before the 3 dollar price. Heheh the part time job of a college student doesn’t allow for such things.

I drove a plymouth don't know the model, but it had a 2.2 turbo engine and picked up speed nicely when I was 16.. Since then i've driven a slew of shitty cars.

My first car was some kind of ancient Jetta.  Not a bad first car, but it had really annoying electrical problems.

I had to do ALOT of thinking on this one. The very first car I drove was grandpas farm truck. The very first car I owned was a 1972 Chevy Nova.......lil 6 banger, three on the tree. That car was like the energizer bunny, just kept going and going.
I still would prefer a manual transmission over an automatic any day, much more fun to drive.

G'morning all:

My first car was a rusty, dented all over, white, 1979 Chevrolet Impala. My mom bought it for me when I was 19 so I could go back and forth to work. It was an obnoxiously large beast that I could angle through traffic like it was my current vehicle, a 2000 Honda Civic hatchback. A friend that worked with me nick named that old tugboat "Shady Sadie".

Sadie had to be put down after a school bus driver reamed us from stem to stern in a hit and run attack that also damaged 4 or 5 other vehicles that were waiting for the same light. Poor old gal was totaled. *sighs and sniffs* I miss that old clunker.

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...

Bella

I paid 500 when I was 15 year's old for a 1974 Vega.  Aluminum block and a piece ot trash of a car all together.
I quickly learned how to re-build engines and essentially do most anything to a car.

My car became famous..I sold it 3 years later for 2 grand to a kid in the high school I went to.

A 1992 Pontiac Grand Am ... and it was a serious beater. My foster parents donated it to some charity after purchasing the current "Ride-de-Caitlyn." I'm shocked that a charity would even take it. When they towed it away, that was probably the best it ever rode.

The very first vehicle I drove was a military grade Chevy Blazer in my Reserve unit. The first vehicle I've owned an 88' Chevy Caviler, 2 door coup.

1977 Buick Regal, with T-tops. (NEVER trust the meteroligst when he says it will be clear all day-and then leave the t-tops out and go away for the afternoon.  Have any idea how long it takes to dry out the inside of one of these babies??)
Interior G-en-uu-Ine burgandy Naugahyde enough to cover half a football stadium (made before all those pesky regulations and "save the Naugaydes" people got up in arms)
Exterior Battleship grey-
Drove like a tank
at 5'1" you could barely see My knuckles over the steering wheel
Could lay a patch of rubber, like it was nobody's business
Paid $1500 (first time I was ever felt up-by a sleezy car salesman)
Traded it in on a new car three years later for $1000
<sniff, sniff> I still miss that car lol

In honor of the "What kind of car do you drive?" thread, I thought we should also tell folks what our FIRST car was.

Mine was a powder blue 1964 Cadillac Sedan de Ville that I purchased for $1500 in 1978.  I loved that car.  Had a trunk big enough to build a condo, sat eight comfortably at the drive-in, and those tailfins... Man, I miss that old car!

i had a 75 eldorodo barritz red and white leather seat. i bought it from this lady in a hurry to go to a meeting,  at the time i did not know how it got so dented up.

--- she had been on her way to an AA meeting. no joke.

today that kickazz 517 engine is pulling carts att the bloomsburg fairgrounds
