Your paranoia is real. Your worship of right-wing students as journalism is all too real.

Your relevance, and that of your sources, is not.

you seem to rate right up there with mnottertroll in terms of an inability to discern and think critically. quite frankly, you suck.

this is probably a great topic that should transcend your personal and partisan pettiness.

Yeah. I have political/partisan position on raping sex dolls. You are a moron.

He gave one silly source. You could have said, "It's actually on major news too -- here are some links."

Nope. Your knee jerk "You suck" impulse jumped in, keyboard smoking.

Get a life.

That's the MO around here with a few having certain very partisan prejudices. Anybody who disagrees with them is a alt. left, or lying lefty, or worse...pick one.

This became the norm on the right with right wing media to denigrate dissenters and those on the left and on a very personal level during the Clinton years, and later under W, calling dissenters traitors and a woman who seeks contraception in insurance...a slut or worse.

Obviously...it works. It works to divide people on a much more starkly described even emotional basis and construct an atmosphere of disrespect. Then from here, who knows where society will go if the right maintains power in the west.

So I expect the same here.

its not quite the actual topic, but its close, I heartily recommend the movie ex machina.

there's also an interesting star trek tng episode where data discerns the nanobots someone's been working with are sentient, and he interferes with their being used against their will.

There was also the Federation scientist that demanded Data be handed over to be taken apart for study. Picard demanded a trial on his behalf to prove Data was a sentient being, not just a machine. Also the sensient hologram doctor on ST Voyager.

Until a robot is sentient, and so long as it remains property used in the privacy of someone's home, it shouldn't be any business of the government. With the exception of being used in court when a case is built on the prosecution of a crime against an individual in which the robots use indicates the defendants predilections.

Also, health code standards for robot uses in legal brothel type establishments, cuz ummm.....ewwww.

Good point

One's bot probably won't have a spousal privilege against providing incriminating testimony for some time to come

quote:

Also refer as spousal immunity, marital privilege or spousal testimonial privilege. Spousal Privilege: There are two separate privileges a criminal defendant may have, which can be used to avoid his or her spouse testifying against them at a criminal trial.

So what are we worried about ? Are we to be worried about these bot rapers raping real women ? Is there any evidence of that whatsoever ? I see none here.

If so, are we then to be worried about taking their fantasy to the street and even though such a raper would have release at home ?

I am serious here because if we do need to act on this, then how about worse fantasies with gun owners who feel a need to then take it to the streets ?

If the gun owner is not to be feared for the likelihood [he] will take it to the streets, then we have no worries about the bot raper taking it to the streets and particularly in view of the fact, it's a private matter, in his own surroundings and he's on a machine.

Great on-topic, non-howler post.

Thank you.

It is right on the topic.

Well with these bots. they'll get a chance too see their pleaser, a little classier...than a glory hole. I see a whole new neighborhood just outside our suburbs for the dirty ole man (and woman) to get off in. No more street walkers.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Regulating Lifelike Sex Robot Rape? (8/8/2017 10:04:16 AM)

Not a bad episode that one...horror channel last night the one where McCoy said I am a doctor not a brick layer and then her went onto say by god Jim I am beginning to think I can cure a rainy day.

That aside boscox and his article do raise a few good points?

And dear readers I really dont like discussing certain topics - you are aware many are hard wired that way? So what then?

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Regulating Lifelike Sex Robot Rape? (8/8/2017 10:26:26 AM)

If a lifelike Robot was prescribed by a physician for therapeutic reasons would HIPPA apply? Sex surrogates for behavioral therapy?
Would doctor patient robot privileges apply? If prescribed, would insurance cover the costs?

Can they be programmed to do windows? Because a robot butler who gives massages and is covered by insurance would be kinda awesome.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Regulating Lifelike Sex Robot Rape? (8/8/2017 10:34:36 AM)

I was going to add the clean cooker line - but thought I would get birched for that as i tend to use it >6 times per year.

Sex surrogates I forgot about too :)
And the handicapped?

And THOSE "massages" will be perfectly legal [;)]

theres a big bang theory episode where howard has built a robot arm and its giving him a massage, and then howard realizes it could give him a hand job too.

off in a slightly different direction, theres already evidence of, and complaints concerning, how because of the easy accessibility of internet porn, men increasingly don't "need" or seek out relationships with women.

if sex robots become increasingly affordable, the question there is to what extent will it affect relationships between the genders.
