Really? Whew. I thought it really was Trump - in his new clothes.

The work is entitled "The Emperor Has No Balls" in fact.

Bingo! Great minds .... Well, except I can't build statues and didn't build that one. Small difference.

Your position is senseless, the is no freedom of speech by your rules just constant rioting in the streets and Civil War instead of elections.
Again, it is not a suicide pact no matter what you want.

By you thinking the Constitution assures that you can practice your religion. If you want someone church burned the have every right to do so.

Those who have the money is honestly my best guess. The US Government has become by, of, and for those who have all the money. It sadly stopped being about "We the people" somewhere along the way. In my honest opinion, they get us fighting amongst ourselves so we are distracted by the battle...and not the sneaky shady shit being ramrodded through behind the scenes.

I totally agree with you.
And they want to weaken the American people so they can control us.
With the help from the media (controlled by those rich people you referred to), the American people are playing right into their hands.
Divide & conquer.

Yet, no matter how many times it has been pointed out to you, and even yourself pointing out on rare occasion, that the private sector has been effectively in control for ages, Obama being the only one in recent history to even tap the brakes on the corporate onslaught, it is an oligarchy, at best, or an oligarch kleptocracy when Republicans at the helm.

But all you can do is to be the 17 yr. old straw-sucking hick spouting the puerile "gubmint" at every opportunity.

Here's a hint:

When you talk like an inbred, people will take any comment from such as being from an inbred.

This whole "statue" thing is ludicrous, as if taking down a statue is going to solve the problem of racism in this country.

There many better ways to spend your time and money that would be better and faster ways of fixing racism in this country than taking down some statue.

Also what if someone looked at that statue as a reminder not to repeat the past and to turn away from racism and now it's gone?

What people forget is that a symbol can mean many different things, to many different people.

My older brother used to race cars and always had a Confederate flag on his car, because he was a racist? No, he did it because he was a rebel and had been rebellious all his life and that Confederate flag was the way he symbolized that rebelliousness, the reason it is often called a "Rebel flag". If he was still alive and someone accused him of being a racist because of the flag, he probably would just beat the shit out of them and when they woke up he would have told them; "it isn't racist, it's just a warning not to fuck with me, that you didn't heed".

OK - so per my suggestion above, what about if such statues were to be given, say, black plaques (to denote 'black marks' against the historical figures) - in prominent positions - that focus on the failings of the people represented by the statues? This, at any rate, is what's being suggested for the statue of Sir Edward Colston here in Bristol, England - philanthropist but also slave-trader. Far from 'destroying history', it would help to enrich our historical awareness, wouldn't it?

LMAO!
You can't even build a semi-decent strawman

Here's another suggestion. Why don't we set up a museum to display murderous white man, and then we can put all the statues in one place. The white superiority people and the neo Nazi people and the KKK people can visit their ancestors at any time.

Statues are an important part of history down south.

Maybe I need new reading glasses, but I missed the "Down South" part in the article you allude to. Could you perchance pull it for us?

Thanx

Statues are important in the 'States, the South failed to leave the 'States in the 1860s, therefore the South is part of the 'States, therefore statues are important down south.

interesting how you claim that the government has to protect the exercise of one part of the first but not another.

If you believe that the existence of nations is evil (remember your declaration of the evil of border?)you cant really believe in the Constitution except as a suicide pact.
This requires that you pretend that things witch taken to the extreme create chaos.
Not my fault if I see the massive holes in your positions.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: Okay, if statues of southern gererals are promoting racism... (8/25/2017 3:54:34 PM)

Nope, none of that makes any sense, keep trying.

You do rational like gerbers do the wheel.
