And this is just purely the ~FRing it~ part, but honestly what does it matter if my dead since 1999 granny voted for Hillary this last election. My grandma was a diehard Democrat who lived in Idaho when she died. She voted DEM straight ticket, yet Idaho only gave the state's electoral college votes to Republican POTUS candidates no matter what. In my eyes, the popular vote win is really just the icing on the cake for the election winner...and a "Congrats on coming in last, Loser" consolation prize to the losing candidate.

Yes if your state has 2 representatives you get 2 electoral votes, california has about 55 so even if the whole state votes democrat they only get 55 electoral votes, even though there may be 10 milion votes more than a republican opponent nationally.

No. The article hasn't specified that any of the deceased people on the voter rolls actually turned in a ballot. And, there won't be any damning proof of widespread voter fraud from this. The voter rolls had not been purged as they should have been. In a worst-case scenario, multiple elections boards did not follow election laws.

Dead voters wouldn't vote democrat, anyway. Have you never seen a zombie film? All those pasty faced flabby guys shuffling around the mall in Dawn of the Dead look suspiciously like the aftermath of a tea party rally where everybody's died of diabetes at once.
Besides, Undead-Americans are just like African-Americans: they only vote for their own, don't they?

Roughly 60.2% voter turnout in 2016 (only 59.3% decided to participate in the Presidential election, though).



Minnesota had the highest % @74.8%, though there were 7 States without VEP data (though the "highest office" participation % is lower than Minn.). California only had 58.4% of all eligible voters cast a ballot in that election cycle, and 1.7% of eligible voters decided not to cast a ballot for the Presidency (stated another way, 2.91% of voters who cast a ballot this past November decided to NOT cast one in the Presidential election).

Roughly 92M people who are eligible to vote decided to not cast a ballot.

The article offers no evidence of anyone voting illegally. It simply says there are a bunch of deceased people who have not yet been removed from the voter rolls.

The article offers no evidence of anyone voting illegally. It simply says there are a bunch of deceased people who have not yet been removed from the voter rolls.


That's the thing. The voter rolls are supposed to be updated regularly (RO did post pertinent legislation pointing to this), using a variety of different databases. The worst thing you could say was that the election committees who did not purge their rolls as the were supposed to, were out of line, or 'guilty' of wrongdoing. The GOP tends to push for voter roll purges, while Democrats tend to resist voter roll purges. And, that's how conspiracies are born.

Pointing out that no deceased voter roll entries have been shown to have voted, or asking for proof that any deceased voter roll entry had cast a vote will meet you with criticism. Join the club!
