In order to cut down backlash over Confederate backlash removed the play by play
in the Va football game because his name is Robert Lee. The irony is that Robert Lee
is Asian. So to avoid offending one group of people they are discriminating against a
minority member.
Defend this if you can.

Robert Lee gotta be one of the most common Chinese names in Singapore.

Lots of Chinese folks are called Robert Lee here. Just need to look at Facebook.

I don't know what white folks are doing with the surname "Lee" too.

I mean, that's literally one of the most common Chinese surname.

Our Founder of our country is a "Lee", except he is "Harry Lee".

Well, if you had bothered to read the linked article, what actually happened is this was going to be Lee's first play-by-play, and ESPN thought that there might be some shitheads who would make a fuss over his name and so they asked him if he would like to do a different game for his debut, and he agreed and asked for a different game.

The Democratic party started their death pact when they started spin doctoring their image in 1968 but kept the same old money bigots with the philosophy of "they aren't our kind of people but we really must take care of the unfortunate unwashed" in charge of the party. The big bust started when the "unwashed unfortunates" started believing the spin doctored narrative and trying to cram it down the throat of the whole country. Small wonder that the non urban portion of the population started wholesale rejecting the Democratic Party's socialist narrative.

I did read the article.

I think it's absolutely horrible that the dude HAD to remove himself from the game, because of his name being associated with a White Robert Lee. He was NOT part of the confederate! And Robert Lee in the Chinese world, is a super common Chinese name! Everyone is name Robert Lee!

And on top of that, you are talking to an Asian here! Who are non-confrontational people.

Even if he wanted to present that night, he would have just not make trouble and agreed to change.

He was asked nicely and politely to change. BUT the point is, why does he have to be asked to change at all?

I wish that Robert Lee should have just stayed and stuck to it. Because he is an ASIAN Robert Lee, and he has nothing to be ashame about.
