ive had the same experience with him.

its unfortunate, because he's clearly smart, but his manic, mean-spiritedness makes him insufferable.
Yes, it's terrible that I bring mean-spiritedness into a forum whose only values are brotherhood and love. I really am an anomaly in this place of virtue and enlightenment.

Wait.... what?

OK...that was funny.

Oh dear Lord, you mean "exhibit" my modus operandi, not identify.
This is what I mean. Words actually mean things, people! Sentences need to be put together properly! You can't just string words together and insist people should "know what I mean".
Honestly, I try and educate you and in the face of a superior argument, you run away.
Bloody ungrateful fucking prole.

Aw, shucks. I used the wrong word. Please forgive me, oh, lexicon-master. [8|]
I'm not running away. I'm accepting the fact that some people/posts just aren't worth responding to.
Best of luck to you.
Funny how all the posts you don't want to respond to tend to made by those same people who hand you your ass. Perhaps if you could argue a bit better you'd be just a little braver.

You mean, "tend to [be] made..." right?

MasterDrakk -> RE: New GOP Tax Plan (11/14/2017 9:19:47 AM)

The tax plan is still broasted shit, however.

Unsubstantiated opinion, as usual.

MasterDrakk -> RE: New GOP Tax Plan (11/14/2017 9:23:23 AM)

well substantiated.

Exactly why it is best to just put him on hide.

Honestly, the three of them are well-grouped.

I was just busting out the popcorn.

Nope, not at all.

Teachers shouldn't have to buy supplies. That should be on the schools. If schools don't have enough money for supplies, start cutting overhead (like administrators) until they do.

The question involving the firefighter is a loaded question meant to evoke some sort of emotional response. In the question asked, the firefighter is no different from any other US Citizen. So, why mention it being a 'firefighter?' Does a firefighter deserve more tax breaks than another person who isn't a firefighter?

Why should a homeowner get to deduct any property taxes from his/her Federal Income taxes? Capping it at $10k seems like it would have a 'disparate impact' on the wealthy. Where my ex is, a house would have to be more than $500K to incur over $10k in property taxes. Where i'm at, it's $400k. Where's your gripe with that?

It's the employees choice to move and stay with a firm, or not move and find another employer. That sucks, but that's the way it goes.

Business expenses are not taxed. What happens when business expenses are taxed? Does the Corporation actually pay it? In the end, no, the Corporation doesn't pay it. Consumers do, so it's just a passed-on expense. Worst yet, if a company decides that they will add a % onto their cost of goods when they sell, adding tax in will actually increase their profits. Is that what you're after?

MasterDrakk -> RE: New GOP Tax Plan (11/14/2017 9:54:43 AM)

and the tax plan fixes that how?
so you can't substantiate that opinion.

well substantiated. STET.

Many times that is the best decision, but there are enough times when Awareness makes great points for me to not take that route.

I thought that for awhile myself. I got over it.

MasterDrakk -> RE: New GOP Tax Plan (11/14/2017 10:06:23 AM)

nothing gets fixed, and it is a baked alaska of shit plan.

for the reasons cited.

Corporations can (even with their nominal taxes and welfare and record profits) write off what CITIZENS cant.

This doesnt fix the tax code, doesnt simplify it, doesnt fix revenue, or cut spending. Doesn't do anything but give more money to only the richest in america or those fictions that are not people.

If its based on the thought that cheap throwaway goods are better than those that last but cost more and rather than deal on price and be in a continuous losing for all situation, that goods are based on quality, craftsmanship, and usability..............

but once we let go of the protected economy to mindlessly parrot empty free market phrases, that work nowhere on this earth....then we get to pay taxes, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Because the tiny handed shitgibbon will probably try to scrounge money from the UK to hide the shortfalls in his excuse for a budget like Bush jr did.

Musicmystery -> RE: New GOP Tax Plan (11/14/2017 11:41:03 AM)

Strange position, to be sure. I’m in the US, and I care about global issues.

Policies in powerful countries affect the rest of us.

A citizen CAN write off legitimate business expenses.

quote:

This doesnt fix the tax code,

You and I agree on that. We probably disagree that this is better than what we have now.

quote:

doesnt simplify it,

We disagree. Under this plan, it should be much easier and simpler to fill out one's tax returns.

quote:

doesnt fix revenue,

That is something that we'll just have to wait and find out about.

quote:

or cut spending.

Tax reform legislation rarely has anything to do with spending. That would be separate legislation. Your expectations of what a tax reform bill does may be a bit off there.

MJ already pointed out that his Federal income tax liability will be reduced. Is he one of the "richest in [A]merica" or a "fiction that [is] not a people?"

Sadly, even American-made goods, for the most part, are getting more and more expensive and are of worse and worse overall quality. If you can afford top-of-the-line items that carry the best craftsmanship and quality, by all means, do so. But, if you're knocking the less expensive goods that are imported (or even the lower quality American-made goods) simply because they are of lower quality, then you are ignoring that not everyone can afford to purchase top-of-the-line goods. I used to work at a Sears location. Why would someone who needs a 5/16" socket for a one-time use going to spend a couple dollars more for a better quality and lifetime warranty when it's a likely one-time use item? Buy the cheap shit, use it, and don't cry if it gets lost.

(but under this plan, no longer)

the tax plan is a shit sandwich.

How do you figure a citizen can't write off legitimate business expenses? Did you not actually watch, read, and/or listen to the video you linked to?
