Why do you need grant money if you don't do science? Like, real science. Even if you howl against global warming, you know damn well that we can do better. And we have the science to do better. So why not do better? Isn't the GOP obsessed with "personal responsibility"? Then why is it that Republicans are usually the ones that feel so damn entitled? I have had solar panels for my home since 2010. My Avalanche is Flex-fuel, but I will likely trade it in on an EV SUV or truck in a couple years, after the bugs get worked out. I have now had 7 freakin' COVID vaccines, but I still wear a mask in public, and try to give people (and myself) plenty of room in case somebody is contagious, and just because you should, as a matter of social graces, or manners. I vote for candidates that say they are for the most things I'm for, and I don't vote for people that are out to get me, at least with their beliefs and votes. But grants are available for a lot of things. These grants are provided by the government and private sources, for anyone that qualifies. So if you have a vision to open a small business, there may be resources in your community, as long as your business meets a need that is not being fulfilled. So you probably won't get a grant for a burger joint, but you may qualify for an ethnic or cultural food that isn't currently available, or the market isn't overly saturated in your area. There are also grants to encourage new small businesses for minorities, veterans, cancer survivors, and a lot of others that I just haven't looked into or heard about. I only know about grants for cancer survivors because someone at the cancer center told me I could get grants to finish college, if I applied. But that's the thing. You have to look for it, and apply. You have to do it. Sometimes, you don't even have to get off your ass, because you can apply online. And if you know what you're looking for, you can try Google. But instead of that, you whine, bitch, and howl here. How's that working for ya?
