ok so like is thread about a guy and girl being friends with out sex . or guys being friends with sex .... the confusion valve has been opened here ...

I have plenty of female friends whom I am just that a friend . someone they can converse with anytime they choose without the anticipation of sex being thrown in .... and I am far from gay ugly or bisexualor any of the other listed characteristics of people mentioned.

maybe I was just cut from a different mold or something

bisexialor... ok Sir your just makeing up words now

Wow....guess I'm gonna have to break this news to some of my  friends of the opposite gender...some of whom I have been friends with for over 25 years....I don't know how to tell them that it's all been fake because TreSwank says it's not possible.

Girl..........I bet those opposite gender friends have also been waiting to rail you for 25 years, unless some of them went impotent at a fairly young age.

enigmabrat -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 9:54:38 AM)

tre I love how you take your very little amount of experence and then creat threads based on rash generalisations based on YOUR esperiances and then state them as facts rather then opinions and then rather then saying its an opionion you ingage in pages of dibates about how what you said is indeed a fact

SexyRed -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 9:58:51 AM)

I actually agree with you to a point. Most of the time, men are looking at women for the sole purpose of sex. The only time they can be friends, in MY experience, is when:

1. they are not physically attracted, yet find some commonality that makes it worthwhile to be friends.
2. one of them is physically attracted and keeps hanging in there hoping as you said.
3. one is gay, or celibate.

I  for one, would find it hard to be just friends with someone I wanted "to lay pipe into me", LOL

I have one male friend now who I do not have any attraction to other than cerebral and he is in love with me. He has been for 3 years and he does keep hoping. I am very honest with him about my feelings, therefore he has chosen to stay friends. Most don't.

On the other hand, I have no male friends who have NOT attempted to have sex with me. [;)]

Read the "That's just your opinion portion" of the page. This site is old news, but it's still funny as hell.

Treswank:

Is the pretext there that a man gets a bit aroused by his female friend thereby mantaining focus on her eventual conquest.  Shhhhhhhhhh.. females sometimes (facecious comment) actually find their male friends attractive also,  Why, I may dare say we even fantacize about them!

But fear not..the older you get those nasty hormones will fade. and the sweet young thing you trophied in your 50's will wonder what the hell she was thinking!

TNstepsout -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 10:36:39 AM)

Well truth is he's probably right about a large percentage of men, especially young ones. I like his honesty about himself and his motivations. At least he's not pretending te be noble. He's the ultimate man-pig and makes no apologies for it.

Before you decide to pick up another stone to throw, you may want to check your glass house to make sure it is stable enough to withstand the strain as they are thrown back at you.

RosaB -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 1:56:11 PM)

I can't say I know what the majority of males think and feel, but in my own experiences, almost every close male friend has kept hope alive.  [;)]    When I was much younger, it really used to hurt when they would tell me it was impossible to continue to be my friend knowing there wouldn't be romance in the cards at some point.   I do believe the men in my life now even though they would like something more and see nothings going to happen, are going to stick around as just friends because they are mature kind decent men that can control their pipes.  [:D]  But, yes, there's probably a bit of truth to what the OP is saying.

TresWank. Tres Wank.

Now is that a French nickname?

SusanofO -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 4:31:30 PM)

Noah. Noah Noah.[:D] He is 22 (but the name is an interesting choice).

answering the question: No, I don't think it's actually possible - and I am ready to take the blame for that myself. That does not, however, mean I cannot put a lid on my emotions when it's appropriate. I can and I do.

marieToo -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 4:40:40 PM)

Hmmm....I feel lucky to say that I have maintained friendships with both females *and* males that I have known since grammar and high school.  Some married, some divorced, some single.   I see them and talk with them regularly.  And none of us are ugly, gay or unfuckable.

missturbation -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 4:55:05 PM)

Sorry tres wank i disagree, most of my friends are male.

BlkTallFullfig -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 5:10:40 PM)

I don't agree with Treswank's presentation, but his theory thus far holds true for me...

I have not been able to establish decade long friendships with men who are decent human beings and even if only slightly attractive, where the thought of the possibility for sex would not at some point enter the picture.  I don't think it's impossible, but thus far, his theory holds true for me.   The only reasons sex would not enter the picture are : he's gay, he's attached, or I find him completely unattractive.   M

LOL.  Snap.

TreSwank, I disagree with you.  I think that age plays a large factor in things.  I have both male and female friends that I have no desire to lay pipe with, and the feeling is mutual.  It is a maturity thing, see if you still feel the same way in 10 years.

I did, however, like the term snapper-roonie.  I did not, however, like the implication that women need guys to move furniture, or that women use sex as a commodity.  Yes I know that some do.

SweetlyTwisted -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 7:26:04 PM)

As for me, men are a great playtoy even if it's only friendly flirting and teasing. They love it and I do too.
As for them, of course, they want me. Will they get me? NO, I'm having too much for fun.*Sweetly grins*

addisonclarkgirl -> RE: It Ain't Possible (8/1/2006 8:31:59 PM)

i understand why Tre put this in the "Polls and Other Random Stupidity" Forum.  i'm not saying that he's stupid (obviously, he's not if he knows who shot Andy Warhol and can carry on a conversation about Hitler...along with the whole crocheting thing), i just kind of think it's stupid to debate this.  i don't think that ALL men have sex on the brain when in a friendship with a woman.   We have men here who deny it, so we know that not all men do.  i think it might be that Tre is looking at his peers, his pals, the ones he communicates with most, and at that age, heck ya, 99% do go for the pipe laying.

i have to admit, i have male friends, and i have probably considered having sex with most all of them.  i'm not saying that's why i'm in the friendship with them, and it's not what i think about all the time, but i have wondered, "what if??"  i think most of us do that.

Anyway, my two cents worth...
