I'm not the most religious person in the world but I have done enough research to know enough to fear Satan and what he stands for. I would never pursue anything that has anything to do with occultism not even what appears to be fun astrology. I was once badly scared by a ouiji board. Satan and his demons.......have a bad rap for a reason.

i had a bad experience with a ouija board too- some retard kept moving the scrye to say 'Luke, I am your father'
yeah- scared the crap out of me...poor luke- it can't be true! it can't be!..i am sooo in denial

If we're interpreting this in the most literal sense, then I refer you to my earlier post on page two.  According to the strictest dogma, he didn't have a choice in the matter.  The whole battle was over why humans received the gift of free will (which is what the bible refers to when it says we were made in God's likeness and image) and the angels didn't.

Yes, I've done my research.  I was raised as a Roman Catholic, though my preferences have changed, went to Catholic schools, and have always had a very strange fascination with obscure, dark Christian mythology, especially regarding Lucifer.  I read anything I can get my hands on on the subject.

Thanks, Emp, by the way, for bringing up the link to the Milton quotes.  One of my favorites is on that list, "The mind can make a heaven out of hell or a hell out of heaven."  I love my Milton.  I first read "Paradise Lost" ("Paradise Regained" isn't as good) in an etymology class when I was fourteen.  I still love it.  Isn't it amazing what a good teacher can instill in you?

1 - arent angels what all the good people that have died become?????????
2 - and if we become angels when we die does that mean that we then all become slaves to god our free will taken from us?

I had a similiar experience!  Except the scrye moved to say, "Luke, don't make out with Leia!"  Sure scared the hell out of me!

Dont know lass, I'm not Christian but an Old Pagan Priest... According to my beliefs, if I die well in combat then I may end up in Valhala. However according to my beliefs in anycase either I'll be reborn amongst strangers  (bad life) or be reborn amongst those who I have loved and will some times know them again (good life)... If I decide to die I'll try to return and post the detail here, if I chose not to die then you'll just have to wait till it is your time.. I tend to think that what ever berlief we hold will determine our fate after death, at least for a time anyway..
