Status: offline 		Someone asked me today why someone might feel the need to have sex when they're angry. I personally believe it's linked to adrenaline, and is related to the same reason people get sexually aroused by danger. A very common thing in BDSM.

Any thoughts?

I remember reading a good article on adrenaline and it's role in BDSM, and sex, but I lost so many links when my PC died...Does anyone have any good links about these chemicals and BDSM/Sexuality?

Yes,  I agree about the adrenaline. Also there is something to be said for the raw emotions of anger, especially if the submissive is begging for your forgiveness, it is a major turn on sexually for me to hear my pup babbling almost incoherently for me to forgive him.

Status: offline 		Some people say angry sex is the best sex. I can't say that I can ever remember ever having sex while I was angry. I have had makeup sex, but the anger had subsided by then.

Oooo, I've only had angry sex once, and he wasn't angry at me, but as his sub I was happy to be there for him. ::grin::

Status: offline 		If i'm angry with the person the last thing i want to do is get naked with them. When i was angry or disgusted with my ex i could hardly bring myself to be int eh same room let alone get intimate.

But if I'm angry at work or at something that is not realted to that person then heck ya, what a great way to drain of some serious fustration. umm but I would say that having a partner that likes to be bit and clawed is usually a good thing, or they complain *shruggs and looks sheepish*  what can a girl do?

Status: offline 		I don't have any links for you, but know, without a doubt, that angry sex can be very, very therapeutic!  There are days that I get home from work and am just a pent up ball of anger.  His Highness will notice and throttle me, bang me, use me, etc till I'm tired, sore, expended and very relieved.

And, I've been able to give myself over to him to relieve him the same way.  Whew!  As long as we aren't angry with each other, I think it is very, very good!

Actually what came to mind when I read the subject line for this thread was the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I have had sex like that before, and although some would find it shocking and more than a little abusive, it was HOT AS HELL for both of us. To each her/his own <s>

I've definitely had an element of that with playmates. They knew how to push me to frustration, using bondage, humiliation and other techniques until the adrenaline was just roaring through my blood.

Status: offline 		When angry due to outside influences, often the physical, mental, and emotional connection to Him makes everything else superfluous.

When I have been angry at Him, it can be difficult to connect and enjoy the experience but it typically ends up with a binding closeness (in more ways than one ~ G ~) and a good cuddle and discussion at the end. Nothing dispels anger (or fear or hurt feelings) better than playing with my Dom.
