I was wondering how many of you believe that psychic phenomena exists, but we just do not know how it works? Do any of you believe yourself to be psychic or want to share stories about people who you know that are?

I believe that there is something out there that we cant explain.  My ex used to call me a witch casue I would know when certain things would happen before they acutally did....Its a wonderful world out there, and so much we cant explain.  [:D]

I had this talk with my Daddy who reads every science mag out there what he thought, and he said that there are blind people that can tell you the color of an object that they cannot "see", these are primarily people who have working eyes, but there is a brain impairment. The eyes are taking in the picture but the brain cannot receive it completely.. They do not know exactly why this happens, but it does. Just because we cannot explain why we sense things doesn't mean we don't. Even with all his "science" reading, he still doesn't discount it.

      I don't have any trouble with the idea that there are forms of energy which science cannot yet measure. 

     I've had very strange precognitive dreams a few times.  It's never "buy microsoft," just glimpses of unusual moments before they happen.  The last one was about 5 years ago but the dream was very vivid and the event occurred that afternoon.  I don't have a belief system to explain how these things happen.

Well, I'm not sure they have anything to do with "energy science," but I'm pretty sure that there are all kinds of real processes in the human brain that we don't understand.  In fact, I'm more than sure--we KNOW there are processes in the human brain we don't understand.

I'm not a psychic and can't imagine what it would be like to have such abilities, but I'm an empath, so I know what that's like, and I assume psychic abilities must be related somehow to empathic ones.  There are some pretty reasonable scientific explanations of empathy.  Read about mirror neurons.

I've had things disappear & reappear, sometimes years later. I had a ghost sign for a Fed-Ex delivery, [her signature was shown to me electronicaly].I've had the temperature in a room drop 30 degrees suddenly & the dogs cower in terror under the table. I've had visitation dreams from a ghost [woman in her 30's] who tells me she's a ghost but a "good ghost", although there are evil ones around. I had a civil war musket [verified authentic] appear leaning in the corner of the kitchen one day.
I could go on, but you get the idea.

I wish I could visit,... wow Peter! My family has a cabin up in Yosemite, it has been in the family for about 3 or 4 generations, and there is a room that goes outside that will come open even when it is latched shut, meaning locked. I have been there by myself  and this happens. One night the light came on in the room I was in at about 3 am, no one was up at the time... it is kinda a creepy place, but staying there is free, and it is Yosemite..lol

I sometimes know things before they happen, now whether thats psychic phenomena I don't really know. I can sometimes tell if someone died in a room, as my sub found out when I went to meet his parents. I had that *feeling* in this one bedroom and I told him, I can't sleep in there someone died in there and they haven't moved on yet. He scoffed only to find out from his Dad that his aunt had died in there during childbirth long time ago, a fact my sub never knew.

Wierd? Maybe but I've learned to live with it.

I don't know about psychic phenomena, but I do believe there exist some chemical make up that connects us and allows us to tap into certain energies willingly or not.  I know I've had many experiences in my life so far.  I've dreamed or saw in some vision, the illnesses or deaths of each of my siblings prior to the occurance.  I had a dream about a very close friend and the next day she called me to tell me she was heading to the hospital emergency room.   I've had other major things happen.    Coincidences?  Possibly, but I doubt it.  To my dismay these types of things have happened way too frenquently, in my life. 

And I am one of the biggest skepics out there, especially when I see or hear people on various shows talking about how they talk to ghost and such.   I'm still not convinced there, but I'm open to believe many things are possible.

I believe in psychic phenomena. Both my brother and I have had dreams that later happened. Both he and I have had instances where a sequence of events begins to occur and it's like a switch is flipped and we knew/know what would/will happen next. My brother stopped my Mom from pulling forward at a stop sign when he was young and prevented what would have been a nasty wreck. He said later that when she stopped at that particular spot he suddenly knew what would happen and just reacted to stop her.

oh wow what a thread. I could go on forever.

I see dead people.  Have stories
I feel and see what is happening to people
I know when things will happen.
I read peoples minds.
I see illness and know when deaths occur.
I connect with others minds.

I have freaked a few people out of late with this, I generally keep it mostly to myself unless I see harm coming I can prevent.  I have troubles sleeping like in the movie Ghost.  People wont shut up.

I can sometimes close it out but when its in full mode, I cant..its is in full mode right now.  Hell read some of my posts...I am not giving advise...I am telling.

Syliva Brown has nothing on me, I think sometimes.

The gift isnt all that much fun....and it rarely works for ourselves.

It is also passed down that I know of from my mother and her mother.

I totally believe there is a lot more than we know of.  I have dreams that come true, things that there is no way I would know about, places I have yet been.  I love it, but it does creep me out a bit. 
 
I have lived haunted places.  Doors shutting, people talking, walking up the stairs, hitting furniture, getting in beds, walking around above me.  Things seem to show to me, not to others.  I love this gift, even if it does make me want to pee my pants sometimes.
 
There is so much that cannot be explained, this is what I study a lot, and what I have a huge interest in.  There are so many places to go, so many things to learn, it's a very exciting topic and one close to my heart.

I am psychic. My heritage is Blackfoot. My mother, her mother and her mother's mother all had the gift of second sight. I could actually put Sylvia Brown to shame <s>
