Although I'm probably beating a dead ponyslave here, I'd like to get the opinions of one and all on a rather intriguing topic.

Which one trait do you expect to find in a possible partner, and why?

Now I realize many will discuss the finer points of about 10 different traits, I'd really love if you could try to pick out the single most important trait, to you.

Honesty.  It doesn't get any better than that.  I strive to be honest and I expect the same thing in a partner.  I'd rather have a painful truth than a cowardly lie or omission any day.

Communication. Talking to myself gets old after a while.

They must be a biker, an old school one with all that the title implies.

At least for a starting point......

Control of Himself
If He doesn't have that then even honesty does count as much

If I had to pick a single trait.... Honesty. Without it there is nothing worth having.

Communication skills are high on the list as is a good deal of self knowledge. Self discipline is also right up there too, which some maybe think strange as something looked for in a submissive, in someone looking to give up control to another. But to carry out that control, to stick to the bounderys set, to behave according to how another sets out takes self discipline on her part too.

Communication. With communication you learn if they have the other important traits - loyalty, honesty, self discipline, a willing heart, and intelligence.

Let's cheat here and say honest communication, communication of feelings, ideas is important in the relationship, but if they aren't truthful, doesn't really matter how much ya'll communicate, does it?

This is an excerpt from my profile:

quote:

Above all else the most important quality that I look for in people is honesty. If you are incapable of complete and open honesty, all of the other wonderful characteristics and qualities you may possess will not make up for the lack of that one.

As someone else already stated.....without a foundation of honesty you have nothing.

Liars communicate very well sweetie, you don't learn anything however because they are presenting something that is entirely false.

If I had to pick just one....honesty gets my vote.

I can deal with most anything, as long as you're honest about it.

Kindness - even from a Sadist (this can be done - ask any sadist.  For some Sadists, this may mean that sometimes, when a submissive says: "Please beat me", the Sadist says "Okay" instead of "No" (joke). Of course, if you are kind, you are also trustworthy, so I may be covering a lot of ground with kindness being a major preference for me.

Then: Honesty, communication, and Please; some sense of humor (even if it's subtle. If they can't ever laugh, we're gonna have a problem).
