Depends on the house and the sub. A place with a lot of windows and no curtains in a neighborhood? No not really. Is it reasonable for me? Nope. I'm allergic to the cold and if I get cold I have to put on clothes. There is no "but I want it this way", I have to get warm. We have to keep the house chilly because we have mutiple computers running. I still run around unclothed a large section of the time, but I can put on layers if I need to.

As far as someone coming to the door, you could always throw on a robe or something.

i'm curious...what happens if a sub/slave is under orders to remain nude 24/7 and someone comes to the door?

I think nudity all the time is unreasonable.  There's always something to put clothes on for - a hat rack can be kept by the door with a robe on it for answering the door, in winter a slave at least needs house shoes, taking out the trash or mowing obviously requires some sort of clothing,  wearing an apron to cook will protect bear skin from grease splattering, etc.

Mavis: I'm still here. I was away for 2 months renovating my house. I tried to keep up with my CM e-mail, but it just got to be too stressful, with the renovation and everything. So I temporarily signed off as a member. But I'm back now. Nice to see this thread again. It's a nice chance for folks to air the opinions.

I doubt if I could do it - living in my current neighborhood anyway (too many UMs, and my dogs have to go in and out a lot, etc). I suppose that could be "worked around", but probably not 24/7. But Maybe. I dunno. But to each thier own...

i enjoy nudity and spend a good bit of the summer that way (in my home or visiting like-minded friends) i like to wear accessories too though when i am nude, like belly dancer scarves, waist and halter chains, jewelry, etc...
 
Answering doors is really not an issue as many have stated - either don a robe or don't answer.

I mistakenly thought there was some logic in the TOS, but obviously, I was wrong.

Not exactly.  It's not the use of the word child/children that is the problem, it's including them in discussions here where the issue lies, no matter what fanciful term people use as a proxy.

On that note, folks, please leave the minors out of this discussion.

That's not quite true either.  The excerpt from the forum guidelines reads as follows :

Subjects which are unacceptable regardless of circumstance include, but are not limited to - minors, bestiality, incest, necrophilia, snuff and criminal activities.

It doesn't matter what the context is, discussions that mention minors in anything more than an extremely peripheral and passing manner, are unacceptable here and will get the post and possibly the thread pulled.

Susan,
Coming from a different side of the coin.  I am a nudist.  I prefer to be nude.  When I first met Doug it was exciting to him to have someone nude around the house most of the time.
He never ordered me to be nude in any way shape or form.  He did like it though.
As time went on...the novelty of the whole nude thing wore off for him. 
I was then ordered to wear clothing from time to time...because it was just old.  Watching me walk around in a bikini gets to him now.

So, yes the fantasy works well in peoples minds for a while.  Then it wears off.  Doesn't matter how you look nude, nothing is enticing after you see it day in and day out. 

Anyway, I have never been ordered one way or another with clothing.  Other than he likes the mystique of the clothing being on now and then.

I think my thoughts would tend to run along sub4hire's Doug.  While it would be exciting and thrilling for awhile, nothing stays that way when it is happening all the time.  dawntreader's idea of accessories like scarves and jewelry and sub4hire's idea of putting on a bikini once in awhile and others' ideas of putting on panties only or a thong only or see-through lingerie or even BDSM gear would seem to spice things up and keep it fresh.
