It just proves the value of locking male chastity belts..........

Its not just "DLs" which are a risk. My "foot fetish friend" last week managed to unwittingly pick up a woman in a bar who it turned out was a heroin addict - something he only found out when she shot up in his living room as she certainly didnt look like the sterotype we are regularly sold. Luckily despite being drunk, (and very desperate!), he had the sense not to have sex with her at all, although he did kiss her a lot by all accounts. He came to me and told me all about it (as he tells me about everything) and is now worried about even having kissed her. I have to say, so am I given his penchants for certain of my body parts.

I'd make some joke about trying to get a condom on my feet, but its not funny.

I'd rant about "dirty drug addicts", but I know from experience that people abuse drugs because they have lives they cant cope with in our culture, which tells us we must succeed or we are failures. Similarly, I would bet a lot of these DL guys find themselves in a culture in which they cant cope - on the one hand they are told that they must be "real men" and chase skirts or face social damnation, whilst at the same time they have urges and feelings at variance with that cultural directive.

What a shame we cant produce a society and culture in which everyone can be themselves and not just be tolerated, but be accepted and receive the support they need without being branded as evil or written off as failures. As it is, we all pay a price for the dishonesty which those who are different and those who cannot cope must display, in the distrust and suspicion we must have in the face of the ultimate price we could pay for being otherwise.

Your eariler post where you thought the men of the African country were foolish to think women gave them AIDS was misleading. The men could have easily caught AIDS from their women. Women can pass AIDS to men as well as to other women. If you are promoting safety why forget that women can have and transmit AIDS? Vaginal fluids can contain the AIDS virus.

AIDS first showed up in human males.  Now just how did it get to women, if not by the original dirty cock?

Maybe we women just eat too many virus laden monkey brains. (Remember, that was one of the first suppositions on how to get it) Yeah.  that's it.

Nope.. I don't but it.  It was from men first.. they fuck across genders and whoopee- the good ol' girls get to share their misery and eventually enough time passes and everyone seems to forget about that one little globe-trotting male flight attendant.

Here is the Wikipedia definition and history.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down-low  This will also help you understand my comment on the reference to "macho"

The DL is a behavior.. It is NOT a sexuality issue.  At least, I don't see it that way.  It's really not Bisexuality.  It's one guy swearing on the stack of bibles that he's heterosexual.. then he goes and seeks out a bonefied homosexual male to scratch his itch.

My only objection is that the woman is unwittingly involved when hubby dances home and one can only hope he took some kind of precautions.  Viruses can and do permeate a condom.  It's difficult, but it happens.

They don't consider it cheating because there is nothing romantic about it.  "It's only sex".  In that respect, I agree.

Bug Chasers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugchasing have the same thoughts on getting AIDS as you do Juliana.. they are figuring a cure will come out in their lifetime to cure it.  In the meantime.. it still  goes on.

Are you serious?

I guess you are.  Sigh.

No one knows who was the first human to come down with AIDS, and anyone who pretends to know is being disingenuous.

It is certain that the first human to come down with aids was Tammy Fae Baker---(may have invented it)

How can you make civil or cohherent argument against this?  Have you seen that bitch?

Ooops.. it was dem monkey brains.  We don't know if  patient Zero ate them or not.  They have now downplayed him to a "myth".. so on that I stand corrected.  Last I looked into AIDS- it was in 1983 as things were unfolding.

Your own link (avert.org) only confirms what I said.

If you don't have anything useful to say, don't reveal that sad fact by commenting on my vocabulary.  I'm aware that it's larger than what you usually find.

Read my post again.. I conceded (<-- big word to make you feel at home) that I had old information.

We are way off topic anyway. I'm glad I brought up this topic.. seems it was needed.

So if you ever get HIV.. blame it on the monkey meat, LM.  (we won't tell anyone..shhhh)

I think that's a pretty hateful thing to say, but I'm going to drop the subject now that you've conceded.
