I was expecting this 9/11 thing to at least be sublte propaganda but it was so over the top as to laughable.  They didn't miss a trick.  They call Ramzi an Iraqi, they build the story around a dead guy so he can't step forward and call it all schlock, I mean come on!

The one thing I was sure they would gloss over was the Philipine plan to use airplanes as bombs.  Sort of undermines the whole "who could have known" line.  I quit about half way through as I couldn't stomach anymore talk of how Raygun won the cold war and not a lick of mentioning that it was Raygun who got the Saudis to start funding all the radicals. 

Who wants to bet in six months the more moronic right wingers will start quoting the movie like it is fact?

It never ceases to amaze Me how anything that does not fit in with your grotesquely distorted, one-sided, tunnel-visioned, misinformed, haphazard version of the political spectrum is complete bunk.  You make yourself look like an ass with this ongoing daily mission of right wing (and Christianity for that matter) trash talk.  It is to the point where most of it is not even worth reading anymore, it is so predictable.  It has gone past it's maturity.  Now it is just plain old.  Ever thought of picking your battles and just planting the occasional seed?  When it goes too far you just look like you are out to start a war and most people (the discerning ones anyways) will shut you out.  In other words, you will be your own worst enemy.

That said, I am not commenting at all on the show.

You are not worth debating with.  I know what you are all about.  I know your agenda.  I know your mind is made up.  I know you are convinced that you are right and everyone that disagrees with you is wrong.  I am on to your modus operandi and quite frankly I can not be bothered.  It is like debating with an 8 year old.  What is the use?

Maybe someone else will take your bait.  I was hoping I could help you see what is happening so you might alter your MO a little bit, but I see even that was a wasted effort...  So see you.

With due respect to you SK, I believe that CD was stating his opinion, not requesting to be rudely and insultingly flamed. I think you need to take a deep breath and calm down a little bit. If you hate CD/CD's posts so very much, take the high road and stop responding to him. Don't make everyone else scroll through your issues.

I gotta agree.   Crappy has so perverted his thoughts that he can watch less than 50% of a movie (since there is another 2 hrs on monday and 3 hrs on sun) and decide that he has ALL the answers.  I won't comment on the movie because I chose to turn it off and put my great grand daughter to bed.  What I did see th0ugh was that it was a dramatization not a documentary spread throughout the movie. 

He didn't get his way so now it must be someone elses fault (he is in Cali and that is the way they are there you know - that is a part of the reason I left).  In my opinion, He has no respect for anyone's thoughts,  no respect for any past president that didn't follow his guides (he doesn't even have enough respect to spell names correctly or even closely), he wants to rule the world and be world dictator.  He appears to want the rest of us (non-Crappyites) to follow lock step in his footsteps.

I wonder Crappy    are you one of those that spit on me for being in uniform during that little pissing contest that Kennedy and Johnson (fine Democrats) got us into?

I think I love you, that was very very good!  As for the movie, I like to know what the enemy is doing, the lies they are planting, etc.

Calling one of the primary terrorists at the beginning of the show an Iraqi rather than a Kuwaiti set the tone for their use of facts.  I shouldn't actually have called it schlock as it was very sophisticated propaganda with a very high production value.  Almost every scene had subtle elements designed to achieve their goal, subtle shifts of history, or manipulation of appearances, or the dropping of inconvenient facts.

The other interesting thing is they ran it without commercials, at least the first half and into the second.  Wonder who paid for that?

I personally like Crappydom's posts he tells it like he see's it. I don't think I've ever seen him try to shove his beliefs down anyone else's throat unlike someone I won't mention who I blocked because he was just a rude fucker.
The moronic right wingers quote anything to try to make their laughable cause more believeable. I am just waiting for the Prez to start having visions and hearing prophecies from God, although that might cause some tension with Pat Robertson since that is HIS job.[;)]
I don't watch TV anymore its gotten so mind numbingly stupid. I do watch a movie occasionally though.

As a Brit, could I ask who funded/produced this film? As sure as eggs is eggs, whoever did will have inserted some partisan bias into it - thats usually the deal after all?

Where it gets dangerous though is where it attempts to deliberately, even if only subtly, change viewers' opinions through the presentation of evidence, which had it not been presented in a certain way, might have effected no change or a change to the contrary in those opinions. Television and movies are extremely powerful instruments for effecting such changes, because they give us the impression that we witnessed what happened, and so what we saw must have been how it was.

All I know is it takes a real low life to start controversy on the anniversary of such a tragic day.  If that soaks your panties, power to you.  Frankly I find it disgusting.  It can not be enough that we put up with two threads a day and a myriad of posts in other topics about the same two bullshit subjects from the same author repeating the same nonsense over and over and over again ad infinitum, we have to put up with this tasteless drivel on a day like today. 

Thousands of people died.  Hundreds of people risked their lives to save whoever they could.  Of all the threads that could be posted today...  It says a lot about the people that agree with it and even revel in it's wake.  If stating this makes Me rude, suffer.  Wallow in what must be your own misery if you can not think of anything else to talk about apart from Republican conspiracy theories and "sensationalist" TV shows that just so happen to not align with your point of view.  [8|]

I can not believe that supposedly mature adults can not demonstrate a little bit more respect and discernment.

Let Me help you sort this through.  It does not matter what caused it.  It does not matter if the government knew about it or not.  It does not matter what a TV show says and it certainly does not matter a damn if you agreed with it or not.  The only thing that matters today is that people died in the name of Allah and 40 virgins.  You should be thankful that so many people risked their lives that day for others.  You should be thankful that the Government is making a move to defend you.  You should be thankful to the men and women of the armed forces that are risking their lives to keep your country safe.  But no, you would rather make and/or defend tasteless posts on the anniversary of the single greatest tragedy in the history of the United States.  Way to go.

Man, I will leave you guys to it.  This is pathetic.
