A new social standard? You mean like rich kids fighting for their country? You mean that sort of standard? How terrible for me to think that the people who have gained the most from being American should fight in the wars, which historically the rich often shirk while the poor and minorities die for their freedom.
If you do not understand that Rich maybe it is because you think that being rich should afford you certain privileges, like sending the poor and lower middle class into combat because they can't see any other sort of future without an education. I do not see it as hateful because I do not want ANY of our children over there, not yours (oops I forgot you have none), not mine, not Bush's.. too bad he didn't feel that way
Edited to say that it is one thing to call a public figure a name, it is another to attack an individual you are debating with. One is done for humor's sake, and the other is done to denigrate someone... I have zero respect for the latter behavior from those I debate with and I do not get personal.. too bad others here DO
