In my opinion it seems to becoming a place for people that don't know what to do with themselves because they like different things but the average person so they find oh hey there's bdsm lets pop in!
Well, you gotta start somewhere - I didn't come with more that a dirty mind and a hard on, looking for somebody to put up with my um, exploratory nature. Unless you've been raised in it, the subtlty and flow of the D/s dynamic is a learning experience.
And yes, it's a whole 'nother ball of wax entirely: an entire culture with it's own language, customs, ethic, etc.- outwardly similar, and yet totally unlike the typical vanilla power struggle. It was all in there somewhere already, I just never put a name on it before - I guess I led a sheltered life, lol.
And I've still got a dirty mind and a hard on, come to think of it. [8|]
