WhyteRavenne -> Dominate me, submit to me introduction EMAILS?! (9/19/2006 9:57:40 AM)

I am putting this here because I feel it is neccessary to get it off my (expansive and very beautiful) chest.  I am sure I am not alone with this, but, I will say it, again.

I know we are all a part of the bdsm, D/s, Kink community, in one way or another.  We all have our fetishes and needs that MUST be fulfilled.  However, when going into a email that introduces yourself, how proper is it for you to demand I bow to my knees and submit to you?  Why is there a problem with a nice introduction saying, "hello, I'm a Dominant, you interest me... this is why."  I am not saying that it's only Dominants who do this, either.  I've had many quivering emails from submissives that cower to my word.

I send out random emails everywhere, all of which are sincere and unique.  I'm not interested in meeting every person I write to, however, if they have a beautiful picture, witty or interested profile, anything that caught my eye, I like to share with them that I noticed, and to thank them for the opportunity to see the gift they are offering.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this, and I KNOW I'm not the only one who thinks it's right, however, as with everything in life, variety provides spice, and I would like to know what others think.

You are all beautiful, thank you.

And yes.. I have a few catch phrases that are my favorite, I do not spellcheck often, my grammar is terrible (I am a writer, so, it's to be expected..) and I'm dyslexic.. so, deal with my errors... I know they are there, you know they are there... EVERYONE knows, they are there...

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Dominate me, submit to me introduction EMAILS?! (9/19/2006 9:59:26 AM)

I think you're online and this is extremely typical.  I think we get posts like this on average of 3-4 times a month.

Half of them are rants about emails people get, half of them are rants about emails people DON'T get.

ExSteelAgain -> RE: Dominate me, submit to me introduction EMAILS?! (9/19/2006 10:04:41 AM)

Look at it as a nice screening tool. The posters here and most of us in this for real wouldn't think of such an opening. If you get one like that, realize who you are dealing with.

WhyteRavenne -> RE: Dominate me, submit to me introduction EMAILS?! (9/19/2006 10:06:08 AM)

I guess I should mention, I am not only a part of this community, and definately not new at meeting people online.  I wish I could say it was only in one aspect this happens, however, let me assure you, in my varied and occasionally complicated lifestyles, it happens everywhere.

However, I thank all who have made me feel welcomed and awkwardly loved since I joined and added my inane babble to here.

If We did that in our introductory e-mails, how would you know about Our innate superiority, Our complete mastery of all things B/D/S/M and Our absolute compelling attraction which requires you to fall to your knees in Our presence like a TMX Elmo who has been chucked hard under the chin*?

As I have posted elsewhere, I am a Twue Dom, and therefore expect all who read My emails, even My posts, to recognize they are in the presence of One who "gets it" better than you do.

Are you on your knees yet?  naked?  Good.

i would just recommend that you give pause to consider the source of such emails.

Yes E. I'm quiveringly bowing my head while on my knees... ooh, no, wait, I'm just nude... I guess that's part of being a nudist, do I get half a cookie, oh TWUE Dom who made me laugh so hard?

I really like this thread, and Whyte Ravenne's comment: Why is there a problem with a nice introduction saying, "hello, I'm a Dominant, you interest me... this is why."  ... it brings up an interesting point that I have been pondering.  I realize a lot of  the currency we deal in is fantasy and sexual in nature -- but it seems to me that there are many who want to completely check out of reality.

The whole game of "I am DOM/ME, hear ME roar!  Fall on your knees in fear before me" or, conversely "this subly sub is quivering in fear at your Domly Dom-ness" smacks of presumption... not only is it not negotiated, its blasted arrogant (yes, even the subly sub!) that its ok for them to engage in play without asking.  And sorry if this seems overly obvious... but there is a HUGE difference between being a Domanant or a submissive, and being MY Dominant or MY submissive.  Its damn poor boundaries to assume that being a Dominant allows you to Dominate (or being  a submissive allows you to submit to) everyone around you without negotition.  (and in my book, at least, poor boundaries is a red flag on whether to proceed with any further contact!)

Personally, I believe we have to stay enough in reality that we will be able to interact as respectful, thoughtful adults.  That isnt to say that when you and your partner (Dom/me or sub) are together, one of you can't say, "Slut, you are in for such a beating and fucking tonight you will cry and scream before I am done with you" and have it be really hot for both of you.  But reality is that most of us get to get up in the morning to go to work or school, have bills to pay, friends we know are going through a rough time that we worry about, wonder if we ought to take the pets to the vet, etc.

When the fantasy supersedes reality, we have a problem... we fail to allow ourselves to fulfill *all* of our human potential (like being a Domme thats accused of being a mush-kitten by her submissive, or a submissive that can run an organization just fine without having to check in with his Domme, to name a few)

Anyway, this is just my .02, and it may be worth the paper its printed on.  *lol*

Regards
LeeMN

No you are not alone. There are quite a number of expansive and beautiful chests around here.

love that answer.LOL

Personally, I feel that flaunting one's superiority, like having sex, should wait until the THIRD email.

However, it must be said that 'someone' must respond to these emails from time to time, or else the senders would get the hint.

Of course, this could end up with one participant in jail and the other in the hospital.

I believe this is what Darwin meant when he wrote of the 'thinning of the species'.

Poor taste, yes.  Social commentary.  Rather like preaching to the choir.

I got a quick message yesterday from a Dom that said "Spit or Swallow"?

I sent back "You should have asked your Dom what he wants BEFORE he fills your mouth next time...!"

The ones who demand you get onto your knees and submit to them are not true Dominants, those are wannabes who think with the lower head(or coochie) because it has the higher IQ. I would NEVER demand a sub to do anything in a first contact email. I believe that first contact should always be light and respectful. Nothing irks me more than a so called Dominant who thinks that every sub/slave on this planet must bow down to him/her. It just isn't right, its just plain ignorant.

My experience with some of the subs that have emailed me has been either A. God i want you to beat me, make me eat my own cum and tell me what  a fucking slut i am. To which I send them a reply of "not interested" or B. A very respectful email that leaves itself open for further dialog to which I do respond.

So yes I do know where you are coming from.

Actually, I'd ask him if they were a little person or vertically challenged in some way.   That'd be the only way I could justify kneeling to speak to him.
