I always stay dressed when playing in public...black jeans, boots, white shirt...though the shirt may get unbuttoned as the intensity goes up.

In private, I usually end up going down to my pants and shoes, though I had one submissive...who was mine at the time...who just loved it when I was in a shirt and tie and dress slacks and dress shoes while she was either completely naked or wearing just a thong.

Status: offline 		i have been in the lifestyle for just under a year.  almost all of my play is in public and often with Ones i do not  know well (usually they are well known to good friends whose opinion i trust, or it is a One i have have met and wish to play with, but don't want sex with, that type of thing) ~ ~ since i am not owned it is safer for me both emotionally and mentally because there are others about and that allows me to enter subspace, plus it is safer b/c there are usually Dungeon Masters or Watchers in public .....

that being said, i always wear a t-bar in public, as a subtle reminder i am to be played with, i am not there for sex .....

now in private - the few times i have played in private, i am naked ~~ at those times i am with a Dom that i trust enough to know my limits, AND W/we have discussed whether or not sex is involved and how much will be involved

Status: offline 		Well I had never been in public, but MADAM like me naked at times and dressed a certain way at times. I think she prefered the naked part for me, but was always dressed.

Status: offline 		okay twicehappy, i am confused..... why would you be giving kyra and i  stuff which  we don't use most times anyway.  *eg*  would be better to give it to some nice boys we can help cross-dress, they would put it to much better use. *grins*

Status: offline 		The couple times I have played in public at a BDSM club I was fully nude. Which took a little getting used to at first but once I got into the scene I wasnt really thinking about it. Now I like playing nude. The other subs/slaves at the club are usally nude or pretty close to it. Though I have never seen a Dom/me play nude.

Status: offline 		Public or private, i usually start at least partially dressed (which can be anything from a full costume to a body harness that only covers the genital area). In private play with my Master, i wear clothes particular to the scene, but may or may not be stripped of some or all of them as time goes. In public play, it depends on the Dom, but once i'm undressed, i never get fully dressed again (bra doesn't go back on, sometimes top never goes back on either, and if i'm wearing my harness, it stays that way all night). But during the actual scene, i am often nude or almost nude. Better access for the Dom.

In private play, Master is sometimes clothed, but often at least partially undressed (i.e. no shirt), and if the scene includes sex, He usually is unclothed by that time. We haven't played in public yet, so i don't know about his public play.

Status: offline 		  Public all depends on whats allowed.  For example I have taken a sub to gay bar that had a cross upstairs.  I knew they had a rule that said g-string and pasties as the min.  Well she thought it would be just in her clothes play..so when I tied her up I kept tied her legs together instead.  Then after a litte bit opened her blouse and pulled her pants down around her ankles.  She didn't know if it was ok or not, but didn't care in end.  When I told her I knew this place was ok to do that she loved it that she didn't know and thought it was only public.  That little humliation effect came into play, so naked or not really is all a matter of what the sub.slave may need.  Sometimes being naked privately is needed to reinforce their role, at others they could be dressed.  Its really to me knowing the needs of your sub/slave.

I have seen only one top play naked in public in our local dungeon.  I see just about equal numbers of bottoms partially and fully naked in the that same dungeon.  I think there is something to the increase of vulnerability of being the bottom, and fully and or partially naked when the Top is clothed.  There is a psychological effect that is subtle at times, and blatantly obvious.  I know when I am naked and playing and the Top has clothing on it makes me feel much more vulnerable.  I have had it in personal play where the Top starts out clothed, and as the scene progresses becomes naked.

I am comfortable with either partial dress or full nudity when playing in private or public. Once the play begins..its not like I am really noticing what I look like.

I start off clothed but usually will end up naked by end of play if that is agreed to. ;)
Public play usually dictates that non-genitalia be the course of play depending on local laws.
Hence I am more inclined to private play where the control is much more intimate.

Status: offline 		I'm a top and I'm always fully clothed, I figure why give my slave pleasure in seeing me naked? And my slave is usually partially clothed when in private, but when we go to parties he ends up totall naked when I get to play with him :).

I have been to clubs/parties where the dom is half dressed and draped over the sub.  Ie top up and caressing/pressing against him.

When I have played in public my submissive's have worn thongs and nothing else, in private they are usually naked.

In public play I usually am wearing my kilt, socks, shoes, sporran, and am bare chested.

In private, I wear what I want to wear.  She is probably blindfolded, and if I want to wear flannel boxer shorts with pictures of Spongebob Squarepants wearing Christmas regalia while I beat her silly, I will do so in a Domly manner.

Status: offline 		When i play in public i usually have a thong on because most of the other subs and slaves at our parties do also.  i am unowned and it seems like it is easier to have that small scrap of fabric as a symbol of that as much as anything.   However, i would also have no problem with being naked at play parties and occasionally have been when it seemed comfy to do so.  It sometimes depends on the size of the party and how well i know those in attendance.

In private it depends on who i am playing with and what our relationship is.
