Dear kyraofMists, Ladies and Gentlemen;
The "play" parties I have attended have been where sex and being nude was encouraged. However, nobody forces anybody to strip down.
That said, it has been an occassional party that has been private, where if a slave was naked they had to sit on a towel, regardless if on a chair, sofa, floor, rug and whatever their tail fluffs sat on--the towel is a nice barrier between human and fine furniture. The protocol was set ages ago, even in the swinging community, nudists and such all carry their own butt towels.
In some parties, the serving of food is more formal and the slave uniform might be wearing of some clothes, as some slaves dribble and have the need to hold things down. I for one, like slaves dressed in serving attire, like a butler or footman if it is a formal dinner. Informal, I can appreciate naked slaves serving. The problem is, some dominants play with serving slaves at the table. This is a etiquette issue with me--playing at the table is not appreciated by me as a hostess--the attention should be to the dinner and service, not how big one of my slave hangs or have some roaming hands take liberties with my servants.
As a hostess, I really feel that the spirit of the dinner or the gathering determines the slave's attire. Most informal parties have been very casual and the focus has been on the dungeon activities and not the food. I would say, it is a case by case basis. I'll mention, that the slave's owners have their own protocols as far as their slaves go. They may be guests of my home but, I respect my guests enough to allow their protocols on dressing/undressing. Behavior though, as long as it is polite, civil and positive I will not be disturbed. I want everybody to have a good time.
