Just wondering how many people believe.

ah! i see! i'll get my girlfriend on here later, she'll have a few things to say, no doubt, as she is incredibly spiritual. all i can say for myself though, is yes, i do, i have had 'paranormal experiences' and so i do believe.

Yes, I believe. I feel that there are many ways energy manifests itself that we, as scientists, have as of yet explained or even addressed. There are some who are looking into the Paranormal. Duke University has such a department. But, I'm not sure that these energies have been added to the mathmatical equations that try to explain the universe.

Ok Cuddles, I've got one for you.  Happened in the middle of the day too.  To me, it simply means that there a lot of things about how the Universe works that we don't understand yet.

I was driving a country road on a rainy afternoon south of Portland.  Very grey day, the rain was that classic Oregon thick mist.  Perhaps a quarter mile ahead of me, I saw an old car, late forties maybe, go around a curve.  Rounding the curve myself, probably a bit too fast, the car was at a dead stop in the road ahead of me.  I cut left to pass just as the car made a left turn right in front me.  The brakes locked, the car slid and I was damn lucky not to get stuck in the strawberry field where I wound up.  Other car was nowhere to be seen and there was no road where it turned.  I later learned that car has been seen many times.

That sounds a lot like a song...can't think of the name.

About this time every year the ghost idea comes to the front.

I do believe...energy is a constant and we are energy.  So where do we go when we pass?

Anyway..here is a link to places to find haunts.

Never had any experiences I'd call ghostly myself, but I know there is something happening there for all sorts of reasons, and that its not one single source that produces every manifestation.

Now Adrian meanwhile, used to live in an old terraced house (late 19th century), and always brings up the spooky goings on there. The usual "things moved from where they were left", but more remarkably the sticky ectoplasm stuff that sometimes came out of the walls and ceiling in one room.

Then there's one of my old neighbours from my last house. Her son refused to be in the house on his own, even in the day, because of the old man who was standing in the corner, watching him.

The previous owner of my house now, committed suicide back in the late 1980s. I didnt want to have anything potentially nasty going on here (I know most of these happenings are neutral, but one never knows) so I did a rite to ensure that anything lingering could pass on. Whether it was needed or not I dont know, but 16 years later there hasnt been anything go on here that I cant put down to me, the monkeys or Adrian.

Yes but I don't know why so many people care about them unless they are somehow interfering with or impacting your life personally.

I don't really like most people I meet who are alive, why would I care to get to know people just because they happen to be dead and still hanging around?

i consider myself to be eclectic when it comes to 'religious' beliefs but mainly leaning towards paganism. that being said i belive/know there are such things as spirits but i wouldn't call them ghosts per say. i belive that gives a weird idea when you label it as such because not all spirits are out there to terrorize people.

My family's cabin in Yosemite is haunted. I have been asleep and had the light come on at 3 am. Also there is a back room with a door that goes outside. I have had it unlatch by itself and open repeatedly... and no one else was there. It has a haunted vibe in that back room. I told Daddy about it because I want to take him up there so we can spend some time hiking and swimming and relaxing with some fly fishing and I only thought it fair to warn him. He said he wants to chase the ghost out...smiles. I do not want to do that because I think it is my aunt, why not let her stay?

I don't believe in ghosts but I've seen one and I know that sounds stupid. My friend grew up in a 17th century manor house and apparently a young woman hung herself in the early 18th century, rumours were that she was really murdered by her husband. My friends parents were away and we were taking advantage and had our girl friends staying with us. I got up in the night and went down to the kitchen for a drink, when I came out of the kitchen I walked through some hanging fabric and when I looked up I could have swore I saw a young woman hanging there. I freaked and ran back up stairs. I put it down to a vivid imagination and my friend telling the girls about the ghost earlier in the evening in an attempt to scare them. However, he and his parents all claim to see her a couple of times a year.
