pahunkboy -> baby update- name suggestions ? (9/27/2006 1:08:59 PM)

hey- it seems we are up against the wall on a male baby name.

she [my sister] wants to avoid something too typical like bob or john, james....but not be so far out that it is odd. we just spent an hour going in circles on it. the middle and last name are decided.

i know they have books on this.

what names do you like?  what names are worn out??

pahunkboy -> RE: baby update- name suggestions ? (9/27/2006 1:18:08 PM)

does anyone have any opinions on names that could be a male or female?
i tended to discourage this.

the father, her all of us- want the kid to be very self reliant.

she had thought zackery or jaden.  jaden can be a womans name also.

meanwhile her husband cant come up with anything- but might throw a tantroom if he doesnt get his way. teh closest to a list he came up with is "Francis", which her nor i like....

Well, don't name him Beverly...which is also (apparently) either a boy's or girl's name.  Unlike many names which mean cool stuff like 'Brave One' or 'Honorable', Beverly means "...by the beaver pond"

<sigh>

Oh... and be careful what his initials might spell!

the middle name is Roger. after our late father.  last name begins with "E", 2 syllibles.  "er"-would be how it is pronounced.

Give the kid a number. When he's old enough to realise he needs a name he can pick one he likes. 0
