Status: offline 		Many people experience D/s within the context of a healthy romantic partnership. I just read in the Positive Experiences section a post from a woman who is the s in a D/s relationship of nine years, growing out of a twenty five year marriage.

My relationship with my Daddy is the most healthy, fulfilling and intimate romantic partnership Ive ever been in, and D/s is most definitely at the core of our relationship.

I don't know how common or rare it is, but yes, I believe that a Dom/me can make a good romantic partner, if that type of relationship is what he or she desires.

Yes, I also think they can be good partners to one another as long as they do what all good partners do and that is build on trust and communication.

Status: offline 		I consider myself in a partnership with my Dom.  He has His job and i have mine and with either of us failing to do our jobs the partnership will fail.  It is not an equal partnership.  His percentage lol is much higher by oh i don't know about 99.99%.  But i still have a job to do and so does He and the rewards are very wonderful.  It is just like the small corporation i own the entirely now because of my husbands death but while he was a live i still owned a higher percentage than he did and therefore the final decisions were mine to make.  Did not mean i didn't listen when he spoke or that i did not share my reasoning for the final decision.

Status: offline 		Why wouldn't it be? Of course they can there are many Dom/Domme couples just as there are sub/sub and switch/switch and everything in between. It just depends upon the persons in the relationship and how they have things worked out between them. Communication is the key to any relationship and so must it be with the Dom/Domme's.

Status: offline 		Usually yes it is, they each handle whatever they are best at. Although in some I've seen where one was in charge of the other. It just depends on the people involved.

Status: offline 		I'm sure it's possible.  I've known dommes that I'd probably get along with, but I've never had anything like a romantic relationship with a domme.  (I've had one or two relationships with women that OTHER people thought were dommes, but they really weren't.)

I think it can and does work.  I've seen it.  But in order to be fulfilled long term,  I would think they would have to bring a submissive party into their relationship.
