I know several several several couples who are dominant in personality and work wonderfully together.

I agree! My last major relationship was with another switch who also identified more as a Dominant, like myself. We often brought in subs to play with and were quite content with our relationship in that aspect.

Yes, it can and does work.  I know of several Dom/Domme couples in successful relationships.  It wouldn't work for Me, but it works for them.

Of course it is. I belong to ScooterTrash and Shifted Jewel, they are a Dom/Domme couple and have been married for four years. They do very well at it too.

I served a Dom/Domme married couple about 1980. It was what therapists today would call a "power struggle", every point was contested. They bickered constantly, undermined each others authority & loved each other dearly. It was a beautiful thing to watch.
