ORIGINAL: CrappyDom In my community there is no formal process, not plastic badge that is handed out. The people who get respect are first off those who give it. Those who work hard to support the community, who have made real contributions to its functioning are ones who get that honorific. I so agree with this, I see the ones who put more into the community and they are the ones who get the respect from the community. We had a guy come ot a party a dew weeks ago and he said he had been in the lifestyle for over a year and he told EVERYONE that he was to be addressed as MASTER so and so, and he said this to some of the Dominants that are very well known in our group. Well needless to say he was pretty much ignored him the rest of the night. he did not show any respect to others so he got none from us. Another thing about titles being earned, is the one that I take great pride in having and being certified to hold that title is the one of Chef. I earned the title with hard work and I always showed my employees respect when working with them, I would not ask them to do anything that I was not willing to do myself, from peeling potatoes to breaking down turkeys on Thanksgiving day. While I do see many on this website that thru their postings and such I feel have the ability to be a Master or Sir if that is how they wish to be refered to, many of them do not use the title in there ID here, mainly because they know that just by putting it there does not show that you are one.
